Quick question. Anybody know where I can get something like this for under 10$ with shipping in Canada? It's easy as hell to find in America, but in Canada they seem to average at around 30$, which is ridiculous.

Newegg ships to Canada....so you can just buy it from Newegg...

Have you tried checking at local computer stores? Because if I remember correctly, doesn't Canada have really high shipping and handling prices?

Sometimes. I'm in the capital, which is a tiny city. We have a tiny amount of actual computer stores. As for BestBuy and Futureshop, they're incredibly overpriced.

Newegg.ca ships to Canada, Newegg.com does not. Unfortunately, the stock for both websites is not the same, which is completely retarded. They don't have any on Newegg.ca.

I'll probably just end up buying a set of earbuds with them built-in, even though is seriously limits my options.

The one I've got is in a 3k Sony Viao. It is good. Never had a single issue with it.
How do you spend more than $2k on a laptop? Even an MSI with a 256gb ssd, i7 3670, and gtx 680 doesn't break 2.2k.

Actually, they can get up to 2.5, but what are the specs on your Viao?

Kind of regretted going for a Microsoft rubber dome keyboard. Should have bought a SteelSeries (I think it's this one?) mechanical that was on the shelf.

But it'll be difficult to justify the higher price for a keyboard since I wasn't the one purchasing it. Anyway, I'll consider one if I can raise enough money.

Who the hell do you think I am?

Would any of you happen to know how to properly dispose of a PSU? I was thinking of blow-torching it and smashing it with a sledge hammer.

I wish. They're just so expensive compared to a 1080p monitor

Is it an external drive? Because there's only 1 drive bay on that case.

  • 09.30.2012 4:54 PM PDT

Ugh I know. After a quick cursory glance I don't see any that are 120 Hz either.

Incredibly, this case can accommodate up to three 3.5" hard drives or five 2.5" HDD/SSD through its smartly designed drive cages that can mount either size without any use of adapters

Oh, on the PCpartpicker list it said there was only 1 internal drive bay on the case.

Nevermind.

I have that keyboard ;)

It's really nice, although I have two qualms with it. Firstly, the letters on the keys are laser etched, so they wear out from normal use. They stay white, but not as white. The other is the placement of the back-slash. While I love the larger enter key, it takes some getting used to when trying to type certain emoticons, and it's one more not-so-easy-to-press key. The function buttons work well with the SteelSeries key which replaces the Windows key (which is now on the right side of the board).

Of course, I was thinking about picking up a QuickFire Pro since it has brown switches.

I'm always hesitant to buy something like that off ebay. Also, my 22" 1080p monitor is $140. I'd rather buy 2 more and have a 3 monitor setup.
