You've got three options in life: be good, get good or give up.

Does anyone know if i can get some kind of mounting kit in order to put a Noctua NH-D14 SE2011 in LGA1155 (not the other way around) or do i absolutely need to swap it up for the regular NH-D14?

Yep, that looks good. You could use the money saved on that to buy an SSD, too.

The PSU is iffy, but otherwise it would be fine.

It's by Rosewill.....which isn't too bad of a brand, and the PSU is 80 Plus Bronze Certified, so it checks out alright.

Probably not, as I'd still need to buy a monitor and keyboard.

There shouldn't be a noticeable dip in performance, the 7970 is on-par with the GTX 680 with PhysX set to High.

Nope.
It's actually from Kotaku, well actually republished by Kotaku. Actual article is by Techspot.

Not sure whether they off-loaded PhysX processing to the processor.

Here's the link, guess they did edit the willow.ini file.

For the monitor, and I haven't picked out a keyboard yet. Not a mechanical, just something somewhat decent. I'll invest in a nice mechanical keyboard later. Also, will I notice a difference between a 5ms response time and a 2ms?

That's really weird, I have a 670 and whenever I play Borderlands 2 with Physx on high it usually stays above 100FPS.

How much are you planning on spending on the mechanical keyboard later on?

And, I don't know, I'm more thinking about the computer itself right now.

Their test bench has an Intel Core i7-3960X so uh...

What settings are you running the game on? I capped it at 60.

I use VH242H which has a 5ms response time. I haven't used other monitors before so I'm not sure. Some people may notice the difference, but it's not too big of a deal.

I use this Samsung monitor, not sure if it's available in the States.

I have all the settings all the way up, and I'm using the FPS counter on MSI Afterburner. I don't know, you can't see anything above 60FPS anyway (since the monitor has a refresh rate of 60Hz)

You will not notice it unless playing a really twitchy game like Quake or Half Life Deathmatch, and even then, your connection speed matters more.

Cherry MX Blue mech. keyboard on sale for $50. Better get it soon since supplies are rather limited. catalog12 is the coupon code as well which you can use.

Logitech keyboard for $40, sale ends TONIGHT.

Monitor on sale, $30 off.

I'll pick out a keyboard after I've bought everything else, because I still have some keyboards lying around if I don't have any money, but I'd rather have a newer keyboard if I can.

The one I have is actually on sale right now

Not really any major differences. Screen is about 2in larger, but there's no LED backlight.

That's a great deal and I thought Monoprice only sells cables.

Folks, is there a way to convert a Fraps .avi file to something more...palatable like MP4 with a H.264 codec?

Not that specific model of keyboard but this gives you an idea on how the MX Blues sound like.

Download "AnyVideoConverter." I work with several video-editing companies and they all use it because it fully utilizes all of your CPU cores.

The average high end mechanical is ~$150, so $50 is a steal.
