Same performance from both...they're just by different companies....
The companies who sell the 670, for example, can price it at whatever they feel is right. That's why the Gigabyte card is cheaper.

What's the difference between cards with coolers like Asus's and Gigabytes, and one's like EVGA, where you can't see the fans?
More fans usually means a cooler card
Not sure how the single turbine completely enclosed ones work, though
It works like this....
The air goes in through the top fan, and then the air goes out through the end of the card (where the video connectors are). This way, the air travels all throughout the card.
Personally, i'd rather have a fan design. I thought I read somewhere you get a cooler card with an open design, but a hotter computer. But with a closed design, you get a hotter card with a cooler computer. Because with an open, the fans blow the heat out, and into the rest of the computer.
But, that's just what I heard, it could be wrong.
