You're like a slinky. Good for nothing, but you bring a smile to my face when I push you down the stairs.

I bet you will be given a boot prompt to select which OS.Not without a fair bit of tinkering. You'd have to make sure the XP drive is recognized before installing Windows 8 on the second drive. Then you have to screw around with the boot order in BIOS - it gets a little messy if you don't know what you're doing.
I would just install Win 8 on the new drive and then put your old drive in an empty drive bay. Then you can navigate to the drive and move all your files over while you're in Win 8. After that, format the drive and use it for storage/back ups.

The only upgrade option from XP to 8 is a clean install. I'd suggest you just back up your existing files and do a clean install.Alright, final question. Is there any way, after the install, to move Windows 8 to the 1TB HDD?You could clone the entire contents of the drive over to the new one using something like XXCLONE. This will make a 1:1 copy of your system, meaning you won't have to reinstall anything. The cloning also copies the OS, correct?
