You're like a slinky. Good for nothing, but you bring a smile to my face when I push you down the stairs.

What GPU do you have?
I have e GT 430 and a Dual core 2.1GHz that's 7 years old. I don't expect to run it, I'm just saying. I'm working on my build now.

I spent 730 on mine (including monitor) and I can max out all my games and stay above 40fps.

That's great, but if he budgeted his $1000 right, he could play all his games on ultra, at probably 60fps, maybe even a little more.

Whats the difference between an i5 3570 and an i5 3570K?

Also, any recommendations on fans or coolers?

The K is a lot better for overclocking I think.

Judging from the number of reviews and its five star rating, I'd say this is a good CPU fan.

Ya....it's a really good PSU. I wish it was 650 watts though....but it'll do.

Believe it or not I actually bought that PSU for my new build that Im working on. Yes, it should be good. 80 plus bronze, good reviews, and it's Corsair. Go for it.

If you're happy with xbox why would you build a PC?

That's fair, although you have to consider that your PC does much more than gaming. Heck, mine is a gaming monster (Metro 2033 at 50-60 FPS constant), but I only spend about 5% of my time gaming. Sure, you might not appreciate it now, but in a few years when the next gen Xbox comes out and people stop making games for the original, you can move over to your PC which will still be fully functional :)

The CM 212+/Evo is all you need if you want to hit 4.5 GHz on air cooling. Any higher and you should either get an Noctua or a faux watercooling setup (Corsair H80/100i).

What settings do you use? I typically get about 50-60FPS as well on the highest settings, but whenever I was outside in the game it would drop to about 30.

You have to remember, the Xbox is using hardware that is old as hell, and it's only worth $200. It's playing games at about medium-ish, while with a PC, you're buying something with brand new hardware that, depending on how good the hardware is, is playing games at high to ultra. The computer is also able to do more than just games, because it's a computer. If all you wanted was a cheap gaming PC, then that's all you should have spent since apparently the Xbox is fine for you.

Ultra everything except (by tweaking the .ini) only 4x AA, medium shadows, and less sun effects. Textures and everything else are max.

NICE! Thank you.
That's a nice card.

I have it myself, I can simply max out games and it won't be much of a burden on the card.

Sorry Suicidal I asked the wrong person. :)
Thirsty, does that card run loud or hot?
It shouldn't.

It makes it more fun to build though knowing that you have shiny parts.
