Got another question.
So I got the 300Mbps Wireless N PCI Express Adapter (http://www.tp-link.com/en/products/details/?categoryid=240&am p;model=TL-WN881ND) for my new build.
I installed it, put in the disc and downloaded the drivers, and tried to connect to my home's wifi. However, after I put in the key to access the wifi, it tried to connect, then said that the password may be incorrect. I know it is the right password, but I still decided to try it like 10 more times (varying caps lock just to be sure). I know that the card works because I was able to connect to my neighbor's non-password connection.
Might it be a problem with the router? Or does the card not do what I think it is supposed to do?
Any suggestions as to why it is not working?
Also, for what it is worth, here is the router that we have (http://www.amazon.com/NETGEAR-WGT624-Wireless-Firewall-Router /dp/B0001FXLUA)
Im sure it doesnt help that the router is kinda old as balls. Maybe you're trying to connect with the wrong security type (WPA, WPA2, etc.)
I think a wireless N card should be able to pick up your router even though it's probably at a lower frequency.
