Mine is done, oh yeah!

Now one question, how do I get all of my steam games to go to my HDD and not my SSD?

You need to install steam to your regular hard drive. SO whatever letter your 2nd hard drive is (for example, mine is D:/), then when you go install Steam, Just change the C:/ in the path directory to whatever letter your secondary hard drive is.

How do ya'll usually orient your case fans, in terms of suckysucky vs blowyblowy?

Usually, fans in the front of the case are used for intake [suckysucky], while fans in the back of the case are use of exhaust [blowyblowy]. If you have side-panel fans, those are usually exhaust, too.

Hey guys,

I just want to say a big thank you for everyone who has helped me decide which parts to buy, and with other tidbits of advice over the last few months.

All your help now means I'm sat playing Diablo 3 and Starcraft 2 on my brand-new pc.

Kudos to all of you. Learnt a lot. Really not as daunting as I once believed.

(if anyone fancies hooking up for game sessions let me know - i have quite a few Xbox friends...but none on PC)

I think you can guess what my Steam ID is....but I don't own Diablo 3 or StarCraft 2 yet.
=/

I own a lot of other games though....also...i'm looking into buy Guild Wars 2 when it comes out in a month or 2. Looks sooooo awesome.

When you install a program, choose custom install (if it's not there, don't worry. The process will be the same if it's not). Then where it shows the install path, change the "C:/" to whatever the letter of your 2nd hard drive is.

A bit of that is very similar to my set up, except your video card is a bit better than mine. Its a good set up, imo. You will be able to run pretty much any game with settings maxed out with good fps.

I've read that monitor has some inaccurate colors. Either way, looks like a real nice monitor, I'll probably pick that one up too since it's so cheap.

Hey, I wouldn't get a 680 if I were you. 670s have been known to be able to OC higher than 680s, and are $100 something less.

So yeah, get a 670.

Why an i7 and 680?

Why not
Intel integrated 3000 can't handle 2K resolution at anything above 45 Fps

With the 680 I can run most games today at 75 to 80 Fps at highest resolution with no extra tax on the CPU

I think you miss the point.
I had a set budget So I got the very best I could get with the money that I had set aside.

besides I also have to do Special effects and 3d modeling. So i got the top of the line for my price range.
