You can put anything you like on there. As long as you leave a decent amount of space so those programs can update, it's cool. =)

Everything looks good, except you could probably go a little higher with PSU wattage, in case you end up doing more with the build.

The reason I went for the 2600K is because Sandy Bridge overclocks better than Ivy Bridge.

But Ivy Bridge is PCIe 3.0 capable, and your using the PCIe 3.0 capable GTX 670. The performance loss won't be that bad though just pointing it out. Also with 3 monitor gaming wouldn't it be a good idea to go with the 4GB 670??

@HDhacker For gaming it's decent.

I know some of you are pretty PC savvy, tomorrow I get my check, gonna make a whole new build. So far I only have the basics.

Case

RAM(I'll probably use this until I can get the max capability, 32GB)

GPU

MOBO

Probably an i5 CPU and a later upgrade to i7.

Any suggestions, I'm honestly not sure if they are compatible, just went to a local computer store and chose what seemed good, to my limited knowledge.

It's fine. The 670 isn't even powerful enough to saturate the PCIe 2.0 x16 bus.

Actually The sandt bridge E ( Core i7-3820 2011 Socket and similar E series Sandy's) support the use of PCi-e 3.0 As long as the board also supports it.

The Sandy E wasn't marketed with 3.0 compatibility because it wasn't authenticated threw the proper channels.

Also in terms of stability Sandy's are far easier to clock up. Iv's heat up far to much. You have to water cool them and they are more prone to Hang.

I'll only play games on one monitor, and not even full resolution at that. The other monitors are for more workspace.

I find 3 monitor gaming ridiculous. Especially the people that use 3| 2K res monitors... Like holy crap.

Indeed, I don't see a logical reason for one to game with more than 3 monitors.

Unless you're doing some serious multitasking and require a large screen real estate.

Well 3+1 monitors is fine. I would like an accessory monitor. I may do triple screen someday.

He'd have instantly stopped and knelt down, one fist on the ground, hoping to be impervious to the officer's attacks. When this would have failed and he's in the back of the police car, he'd blame his predicament on his friends for not being team players.

Well, I'm frustrated. I'm finally happy with my cart, it's over-budget but workable, when I go to order today it jumped up $50. Go to find out the 6950 increased its price by 25% overnight. I give up.

Same, I'd like to do dual monitor set up later in time, but three just seems excessive; I don't even know what I'd do on all the screens.

I can see dual monitors being useful for certain programs and people who work at certain jobs....but beyond that, it's useless.

I run a dual monitor setup, and I can already see the benefits of having three monitors.

Having three large resolution displays would be quite useful, especially if one of them were in portrait mode. Oh man, I can drool over how much stuff I can do with 3 large resolution displays.

It's solely a matter of preference. As a matter of fact, having more than one monitor for games cuts your FPS, but some people like the feel of playing a game on a much larger spectrum. So you could consider it a waste of money, but other people sure enjoy it.
