Hold it right there.

Hello. Name's Brian. Look, if you're looking for a flame war with me, just open up the Flood and write up some not-nice things about religion and I'll bring my nukes to the party.

If you want some other way to contact me, you can forget it.

If you're interested in some of my work, you can check my homepage out.

How do you think this pc will hold up? Also are there any better parts I could get for the same price or cheaper?http://pcpartpicker.com/parts/partlist/
Sorry, I can't see what you selected. You'll have to screencap.

Are there certain specs/identifiers for someone to know if a motherboard will fit their case?

Just get a full ATX, do NOT get a micro one or you will regret it. And the case will indicate before you buy it.

Dude, that's your opinion, mATX is good for budget builds and if you only need to use one card, it's all you're ever going to need.

ATX is recommended but seriously, most single-card setups can be so powerful these days that going with a smaller motherboard might even be a better option if you're really on a tight budget.

I'm actually in tech school right now, training to be a PC Technician, I don't exactly know what the latest fancy stuff is, but I can fix your problems, usually.

If you have any computer issues, go ahead and throw them out there, and I'll see what I can do, I'd love the experience. I won't always be around though, since I'm still in school. (And sorry for anyone who has OS specific issues, I'm only running Windows at the moment)

Most Windows-related issues can be found in Microsoft's support website or Help & Support on your computer. However, more specific ones aren't listed.

I've also been doing hardware, and a small amount of network troubleshooting, so I can do more than just OS issues. Plus general application problems, and settings on them. Though I've still got stuff to learn, still in school.

My laptop hard drive broke the other day and I'm looking to buy a new one. My question is: Will a SSD fit into the space where the HDD used to be? I heard they were more reliable.

My old hard drive used a SATA connection.

As long as you use SATA then you shouldn't have any problems. SSDs are smaller usually, but most of them come with a small metallic piece or plastic to make them fit in HDD slots. Although, since it's smaller you can fit anywhere your HDD was.

This is for a budget build.

And this for a ~$500 budget. (Maybe switch to a lesser GPU to save a little more)

I've just started building a pc today and it was going fine, then I had to find out where to plug everything in. I plan on getting back at it tomorrow, but it is really frustrating since most of the wires don't have labels. So far I've plugged in my psu and case fans to the motherboard, as well as my cpu cooler fan. But I'm lost now. I'm going to have to do some crazy reading just to understand what connectors go where.

Whenever you get back to it, do you mind posting pictures of your motherboard and the components you're trying to connect to better help you?

Close, but the plague killed those infected with it, and the ignorant are still alive.
I wish ignorance was a plague.

Your motherboard should have come with a manual. Open that up and there will be a page with a diagram of where everything goes. If not, type "[MOTHERBOARD MODEL] diagram" into Google and you should get a diagram like this that will tell you what to put where.
