I might re-consider the GTX 670 but the store only has the OC'd ones which are more expensive than the reference card.

Is it worth it to blow in more money for a beefed up GTX 670 (with three fans and that -blam!-)?

Yes, they will have superior cooling power.

That really depends on how good his case circulation is in general.

Also true.

This, but the 3rd fan will help out a lot.

Who the hell do you think I am?

I think he's talking about the ASUS Direct CUII GTX 670; has magnificent cooling, but you don't really need it.

And the OC edition of the card is only $10 more so you might as well just get it.

Because I just got one with these specs.
Can you link us the monitor? There's not much to go by with just that information.
Here
...

I cant read Hebrew...

It says the response time is 2mms.
Edit: Here's the monitor

Had to delay the build as the malls are packed last weekend and thus giving me more time to finalise my build.

I have 4 GPU options, GTX 670, Radeon HD 7950, Radeon HD 7870 and the Radeon HD 7850,

The GTX is nice but the 7870/7850 are friendlier for my wallet. :/

If they're wallet friendly, then go for it. The 670 is the best out of those 4 though.

Although more expensive, the 670 is one of the best cards out there right now.

I went for the GeForce GTX670 FTW edition and it is a beast. Also means the rig will be able to play newer games on better settings for longer.

Go with the 570 then? It can still max out any game to date, and is $240.

From this brochure I have, they don't have those. :(

They do have a 560 Ti from Leadtek, however.

Perhaps I could justify the price by highlighting the fact that many pre-build performance/gaming systems are priced much higher than any of my configs and any Mac for that matter.

---

Cards that I'm interested in. Prices are converted from local currency to USD. All cards aside the LeadTek GTX 670 have custom heatsinks etc.

$460 - ASUS GTX 670
$480 - ASUS GTX 670 Direct CU II TOP
$480 - Gigabyte GTX 670 Windforce
$368 - Leadtek GTX 670 (reference)
$288 - ASUS HD 7850 Direct CU II
$391 - ASUS HD 7870 Direct CU II
$265 - Gigabyte HD 7850 OC
$371 - Gigabyte HD 7870 OC
$237 - Sapphire HD 7850 OC
$336 - Sapphire HD 7870 OC
$417 - Sapphire HD 7950 OC

If your parents are paying for your rig, explain to them the better card you buy now, the longer it will be before you need to upgrade in future :)

Exactly! There's a reason why I'm deciding to spend a bit more.

I'm looking to upgrade my graphics card from the stock one I have on this computer to be able to run games like Skyrim (Most recent one I'd look for), Fallout 3/NV, maybe Starcraft or Company of Heroes and some other RTS games.
I definitely want to upgrade the graphics card and a CPU upgradxe down the road (perhaps Christmas) would be nice.
Would something like this work for what I'd like to do?

Feel free to recommend a graphics card or anything, I have a $400 budget.

Thank you for any help you can provide I'm new to this whole thing.

That would be more then enough to run all of those, however, given the fact your computer can't run FO3/NV it's probably pretty old, so you'll need to make sure about the wattage, as that can be pretty close (It should say it somewhere on the PSU)

Also, you need to make sure your motherboard is at LEAST PCI-E 1.0 Compatible with a PCI-E slot, if not 2.0. If its not, then you're screwed.

From what I've read, a 570 would be great for what you want. You could even get a 560 ti, which is a little cheaper. However, is the $400 budget for the GPU? If so, you could spend it all on a 670, which is one of the better cards out now and would certainly last at least two years. Whatever you do, double check your power supply to ensure it can handle the wattage of the new card.

I wonder the testicle.

If you're on a laptop, the chances of you being able to upgrade it are small.

And the graphics card you linked is a desktop card. You won't be able to put that in a laptop.
