Who the hell do you think I am?

Thinking about getting the 670 over the 560 ti. I feel like the 670 is more future proof. Thoughts?
There is no way to future proof your PC

But if you have the money then you should get the 670. Amazing card. Probably the best you can get for gaming.

I got these cheeseburgers man....

Exactly, because next year everything will be replaced by newer and better things... Especially phones, I hate how often a new phone comes out, 2 year releases seem more logical to me.

But the difference between phones and computer parts is that new computer parts actually have features that are worth getting (most of the time).

LOL, I bought a Galaxy S II in late December. Could've waited a few months and get the S III.

I have decided to go with the 660. I don't think I need the 670 right now. Thanks.

Is there a way I can get Windows 7 at a cheaper price than $90? I've heard about students getting discounts from microsoft and I'm a full time student at a community college and other people finding holes in the system and getting the OS for free.

There is a legal way to get it for only $8.
Through college?

Nope

Here's what you do:

1) Download the Windows 7 PROFESSIONSAL (must be professional) 64 bit (x86) ISO file from this website. I've used it before, and it's 100% safe.

2) Next, download the Windows 7 USB/DVD download tool. You will use this to put your Windows 7 ISO onto a thumb drive or DVD. EITHER MUST HAVE AT LEAST 4 GB OF STORAGE ON IT.

3) In your BIOS, tell it to boot from the thumb drive (or DVD if that's what you're using).

4) Run through the Windows 7 installation process.

5) Now you need a product key. You can buy one from this guy. He has over 1,100 ratings, and his feedback is at 99.2% and he has a 5/5 stars rating. So it's safe to buy form him, and you will get your product key.

6) Enter in your product key once the installation is over.

7) Enjoy!
64bit=\=x86 But other than that, I'll probably buy Windows from him then. How can he sell it so cheap?

Woops....my bad....x64. Forgot.

Woah, great advice TopWargamer. :D

Quick question to whomever, I'm going to cross-fire two 7950s (or 7970s, not sure which quite yet), but would a i5-3570K be bottlenecking my system, or would it still be the GPU?

I doubt a modern processor would bottleneck a card that came out in the same year.

As that's a very specific scenario, and there are many factors with bottlenecks occurring, at least I cannot tell you honestly if you'll experience issues with that setup. Both of those components are relatively high-end parts. If you do have issues with the CPU, you have the K edition for overclocking as needed.

Also, TopWargamer's advice seems too good to be true. It's also illegal to download the Microsoft OS from anywhere other than a licensed vendor.

It was hard as heck to install though due to a cramped space. Barely fit in my case.

Specs -

CPU - AMD X4 965 BE
GPU - HD 7770 1GB Ghz Edition
Case- Cooler Master 431 Plus
Motherboard- Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3

Well depends on the phone, isn't an upgrade for any hardware to bring increased performance? And I mean, depending on which S3 version, h jump from the Galaxy S2 international to GS3 international was pretty big, IMO.

Very nice upgrade. Also, i'm sure that you would already do this, but do not replace your 500 GB hard drive with the 1TB hard drive. Just add it in.

And 16 GB of RAM is not necessary at all. Keep your 8GB of RAM and use the money that you just saved to go towards a better CPU.

Yeah, I planned to keep the 500GB HDD in as extra storage.

Also, I kinda need the extra RAM because I do a fair bit of video/photo editing. My CPU handles it all just fine, but my system uses a ton of RAM during heavy editing.

This, you could also invest in maybe a very strong single GPU, I don't know how well a pair of 7770s will be cross fired, but I know they'll generate a helluva lotta heat and draw a bunch of energy. That's just what I'd do, personally.

Why? You don't need to upgrade any of those parts.

The only one I agree with is the HDD because there's nothing wrong with having more storage. But you really don't need any of those upgrades.

My current power supply isn't modular and it has a TON of cables. I ran out of room in the cable management areas and it's kinda cramped in there, so it's messing with airflow a little.

I need the extra RAM since I do some heavy video/photo editing.

And I game quite a bit, and for $150 extra bucks, I can future proof myself for another year or two by using two graphics cards in crossfire.

Why not just get a modular PSU when you ordered the build then? Seems like a waste of money to me.

And if you must get 16GB of RAM make sure it's DDR3 @ 1600MHz. Also, the GPU you have right now is way more than enough for games, and since crossfire technology has some problems with it, I wouldn't say it's worth it. But that's just my opinion. You could either get another GPU or get a great keyboard or mouse or headphones, etc.

I was on a tight budget at the time, and the only modular PSU I could find at the time for around the amount of watts, was $75 dollars more.

I already have a good gaming keyboard and mouse and headphones, so I'm good to go on those.

I am on a budget and desperately need a new PC like, yesterday.

My budget is about 400, which at max can go to 500 (Without OS, Disc Drive, Monitor, K&M).

I tried to make one but considering I couldn't add a CPU, I failed. I am really fixated on that Motherboard and while I wanted that 550ti, it will have to wait.
