Either way, you can do a lot better than Alienware for sure, unless you really need the ricer case, then Alienware is for you.

I didn't ever suggest Alienware
I know, I was simply stating that.

The most "basic" ASUS Z77 motherboard with Wi-Fi is the P8Z77-V. Otherwise, the P8Z77-V LK and LX are the more basic ASUS Z77 boards.

650W would be sufficient for your needs.
Oh, I didn't even know that it had WiFi, thanks!

Yeah, all those Asus boards have it. YouTube the newegg video for it. It's very informative. I was actually going to get a wireless adapter and I happened to watch the video and found out it's included in the motherboard. So awesome :)
Go for the P8Z77-V.

It has excellent reviews. A bit pricey if you're looking for a more mid-end build but I bet it's worth the $$$$ and you get ASUS quality.

How much performance loss should I expect from the fsb from getting one stick of RAM as opposed to two (thus utilizing dual channel)?

Dual channel effectively allows you to access the RAM storage at twice the speed it normally could on a single stick. Essentially you'll have a larger bus size. So in that manner, you might be losing half the max potential you could get out of it in terms of speed.

Shakes Magic 8 Ball

Looking at Laptop, seems like a good buy. I'd be able to run WoW during a 25 man raid, 40-60 fps with high quality graphics on this right?

I got these cheeseburgers man....

Yes, I saw someone said they could do about 40 on ultra with that GPU.

I'd want a case that screams torque and balls. Anybody know of such a thing?

B-2 stealth bomber.

That or this... this one definitely screams torque.

What are you thinking?

Get this.

You shouldn't make assumptions about Alienware, they're not as overpriced as you think they are.

Unless you're buying a x51, which is the most horrible thing you can do.
Cystic, you best be trolling. They would be fine if they used actual GPU's. They consider non-GTX's "top of the line."

$2000 for a 660M? I'd rather get an MSI.

I'm not sure, but I'm assuming where it's mentioned is to refer to integrated graphics. Where did you read this?

I said non-GTX. It's nVidia's 610-650 line, which are GT cards. Lower power comsumption, but awful framerate. I have an ASUS with a 540M, but I only get 30 FPS on Skyrim on medium (i5 CPU, 6GB RAM). The 540 is the equivalent of the 630, so I'm not sure how well the 640 and 650 would fare.

630 benches.
640 benches.
650 benches.

There's a 635 and a 640LE as well, but you get the point.

And then we look at the 660 and 675, which are GTX cards.

Oh, I thought that read GPU

I'm aware of the GT and GTX cards, although I don't know much about the mobile ones.

What would a GT card be used for anyway?

They can still play games, albeit at lower resolutions and settings and more oriented towards general computer use as well as HD media.

That would be the GTX 670.

I got these cheeseburgers man....

Yeah but there's really no point in getting a 680 unless you really want to blow some money.

No, it'd be the GTX 680, but the 670 would be the best bang for buck.

Hmm? According to this list the 670 is better than the 680.

Read the title:

Price|Performance

It's going to list what value you are getting for your money, not the raw power of the card.

Who the hell do you think I am?

From what I've seen the 680 is only about a 5% increase in performance for $100 more. It's not worth it in my opinion.

It comes at second place for the Price|Performance chart, that's not too bad.

It's not bad at all, I just don't think it's worth it for the price.

You should be able to max out WoW with those specs....but I don't know the system requirements of WoW, so don't take my word as fact.

Its only 5%? I thought it was a bit more. Do you get anything else with 680, or no?

Nope

The 680 is TECHNICALLY better than the 670, but the performance difference is so miniscule, that you won't even notice a performance difference in game.

So it's best to just go with the 670.
