It says $159.99 for me, even though the email says otherwise.
After the $40 mail-in rebates and with the $30 off promo code it does come out to $89
Counting rebates as discounts is a good way to lose money
It's better than paying full price.
I know. I just prefer to not consider them as a discount off my budget.

Not sure if a silly question, but can anyone help me change my card settings so that I can run games without needing vsync? Or do I always have to have it on with a 60hz monitor?

Just turn it off in the game menu, like where you change the resolution and texture settings. I have a 60Hz monitor (like just about everyone else here) and I never need V-sync.

I see tearing everytime without vsync. I kept asking if my monitor just doesn't work anymore (it's pretty old). Or is it something else?

You said it was screen tearing even when just using Chrome, right?

And how old is it? It sounds like you should just get a new monitor already.

But maybe I'm being a bit more fuzzy because of Bulletstorm. I've been reading that it's a -blam!- port for PC. I can't seem to fix the stuttering and whatnot.

Don't mind the budget, recommend me some screens, so I can get an idea.

Oh, wow.

Alright, I'm setting my budget at $100 or less.

$100 or less? Good luck with that. Your new monitor would probably have screen tearing if you can't spend more than $130.

This is what you should be aiming for at a low budget price, or this on a normal budget.

Could it be that my PC just isn't good enough to run a game without vsync?

Anyways, thanks for the suggestions.

What are your specs again?

But the problem with screen tearing is that it's not the computer's fault, but the graphics card on the computer is too powerful for the monitor to handle, which causes screen tearing.

You're only option is to buy another monitor (a good one costing at least $130), or using a better one you have around. A TV would even work for the time being.

How much HZ is your monitor?
It also, let's say you get 120 FPS in Skyrim, but the refresh rate of the Monitor is only 60, this will cause screen tearing.
I think in Skyrim's case V-Sync is on by default for people that play on Ultra, but whatever.
Just tell use your monitor's refresh rate.
Edit: use Speccy to see your monitor's refresh rate.

It's 60HZ. But I suspect that the monitor is not as "strong" as it used to be (it's approximately 7-8 years old).

Looks ancient. I'd recommend a new monitor.

Anyway, your PC has some overkill parts. The graphics card is meh compared to the rest of your system.
