And if you have the FTW edition of the 670, then the benchmarks would be even higher than the 660ti because it comes clocked at about 1100Mhz, as opposed to the standard 950~MHz.

You realize that all non-reference cards are overclocked right?
Oh. No, I did not know that. Cool.

The overclocking is really Meh, you won't notice the difference unless you do it yourself.

You want to look for the best cooling first and foremost, because the better the cooling, the more you can overclock it, because of the temperature.
Pretty much it.

Screw you too buddy...

Anyway, which card would be best for 1360x768 (720p) gaming? 650? 660 ti? 670? I want nVidia and not AMD. Same goes for processor.

Obviously the 670 would be the best, but what budget are you trying to fit?

I'd like it to be less than $300 but this is a long term goal as I'm young and don't have a job. I'm building this by doing chores n -blam!-...

EDIT: I already have a cheap card that will be temporary. A GT 430 (not all that bad for $60). The new card is the long term goal.

Then grab the 660Ti, but don't settle for anything less than that as far as nVidia is concerned.

I'd say the 560ti.
This is pretty good.
Or the 660ti.

When do you think the 700 series cards are coming out? I may want to pick one of those up...

nVidia said the 600 series was about halfway through its lifespan.

The only thing you'd be missing out on AMD graphics would be PhysX but alright

Yeah the 660Ti would be fine

PhysX is probably the only reason I want nvidia over AMD.

Then a 660ti would do justice, along with i5 CPU from Intel.

Would a Core i3 3.3 GHz suffice for short term?

You can run PhysX on AMD, it just doesn't run well.

I've seen that trailer, and to be honest, not that many AAA titles use PhysX

But it does look nice, so what the hey.

I've had my i3 2120 since I first built it and I can still hit 60 frames on BF3 on my old -ish HD 6870

An i3 would, but you should get this model. I'd just go with the 3220.
