Since you don't have an overclockable processor drop the motherboard to an H77. Make sure you absolutely need blueray on your disc drive, otherwise drop it and just get a $20 disc drive. Use the money you save from those to get a better graphics card like the Radeon 7850. Also, change the Hitachi drive to something like a samsung, seagate or western digital.
Processors can be unlocked
Although, I'd actually recommend getting a good motherboard if you're planning to have ANY upgrades at all
If you want to buy a next-generation processor or want to add more HDDs, the motherboard is what connects to everything and upgrading is a big part of building if you don't want to start from scratch, and the last thing you'd want to replace is the motherboard so you might as well grab a more-tan-decent one
Of course there is no difference without overclocking on chipsets, I'm just saying that overall, a motherboard should be the part you want to last the longestI'm fairly certain it's not as simple as just unlocking the processor, and if you are planning on overclocking then you would want to get an already unlocked processor in the first place. I suggested he get an H77 instead of a Z77 because the Z77 board only give benefit when you're overclocking, but if you're not overclocking or don't have an unlocked processor then there is no need to buy the Z77 board. There are plenty of H77 boards that allow you to upgrade your video card and still get the best performance out of it, and chances are if you're going to upgrade your processor in the future you wont be doing it on the same socket type, let alone the same motherboard. If he does want to buy a next generation processor later on he would have to buy a new motherboard (and maybe new RAM) too. And you can very easily add more hard drives on an H77 board; you can find plenty with multiple SATA III ports.
