Why would you choose Biostar?

Why would you choose Biostar?

1) Why not? Biostar is not a bad brand.
2) It's a $600 build, and that motherboard has everything you need...and it supports both crossfire and SLI.

  • 11.04.2012 11:04 AM PDT

Who the hell do you think I am?

2133 RAM in a $600 build looks a little odd, but since it's on sale I guess it's fine.

I've never heard anything good, but I've never heard anything bad. I just figure get the Asrock Pro-4, because I heard good stuff about them.

That RAM was only $35...so why not?

The reason why you don't hear much about Biostar is because people automatically go for the bigger and more well known board makers....like ASUS, MSI, Asrock, Gigabyte, etc. etc.

From the reviews I've seen of Biostar, they make pretty decent boards.

Yeah. I was going to say the Z77 board was kind of pointless, unless that RAM is there. I personally wouldn't get a Z77 board just for higher RAM speeds, but I edited your list and put on regular RAM with an H77 board to try and make it less expensive, but with all those deals it was the same price, so I guess it's alright.

Obviously not, but for $600 (if you pick the right parts) you can have a computer that runs every game at max settings.

True. They are catching up in terms of quality.

Looked up reviews on Newegg, seems many people are pleased with Biostar boards.

Seeing as how I still haven't ordered a GPU yet, anyone wanna help me choose one? Anywhere from $250-$350.

I'd try to get a 670 on sale. If you don't want to do that, get a 7950.

Here's that MSI one. Get this.

I think that 670 sale ends today, so I probably can't get it.

What 7950 would you guys recommend?

The best one with 4/5 or 5/5 star rating for the lowest price.

MSI 670
Seems like a good deal.
Although, AMD cards tend to be more bang for your buck, and Nvidia cards are good and all, but with PhysX calculation won't be loaded on the CPU.
So it depends, really.

It depends on which game you're playing and what res you're at.

There is no "better card for your buck" unless it's for a specific set of games that you play.
