I got these cheeseburgers man....

Why not a 3770k? I'm sure there's gonna be some good sales going on right now for those. And if you can afford it, get a 7970 for multimonitor support, or a 670. If that's too much, then definitely a 7950. Also, I didn't know you could SLI two different GPUs?
You could have just, ya know, quoted me...

Ok since you guys were clearly too confused to answer my post let's try something different!!!

If I buy a USB 3.0 header can I just plug it into my MOBO (Asus Formula V Z77) and use it? Any updates or driver that I will have to download?

No one can answer me? Welp going to have to consult the manual XD

  • 11.21.2012 11:04 AM PDT

You're like a slinky. Good for nothing, but you bring a smile to my face when I push you down the stairs.

Looking for a good ATX Intel 1155 Mobo. Won't be overclocking.

Under $150 please.

It's probably going to be PnP, but I'd install any drivers it does come with (should be on a disc) to be safe.

The 3770 offers no performance difference over the 3570 in gaming, so unless there is a huge sale on it there is no point in getting it. Also, the 7970 greatly outperforms the 670 and even the 680, so you would definitely want to get the 7970.

And no, you can't SLI two different GPUs.

Many.

Anything from EVGA, ASUS, MSI, Gigabyte would be fine.

Same goes to AMD but swap EVGA for Sapphire and toss in XFX.

These.

But a 7850 would give you better performance than the 650ti, and they're around the same price. Unless you want a free copy of AC3 from the 650ti.

Dunno. Cheapest I can get that is still quality? My current laptop cannot even run Minecraft. I'd like one that can easily run Minecraft, WoW, Team Fortress, Xcom, Skyrim, you name it, without a hitch... and future titles as well.
