What's a good manufacturer for a 650 Ti 1 GB?
Many.

Anything from EVGA, ASUS, MSI, Gigabyte would be fine.
These.

But a 7850 would give you better performance than the 650ti, and they're around the same price. Unless you want a free copy of AC3 from the 650ti.

Don't care about the game but rather the quietness of the 650 ti and power usage. I don't play games all the time and it'll go great with my gold PSU. Also, I purchased all my parts but the PSU hasn't arrived yet, would you mind rating my PC setup?

The 7850 would still be a better choice.

And sure.

Laptop I mean. OK maybe... -$600?
That can run Skyrim? And future games?

Sorry, not gonna happen. Save some more money first.
I dunno. I'm not a PC gamer because PC gaming is way too expensive. Last time I said that a ton of people were like 'NO YOU CAN GET THE BEST PC FOR $300-$500!' The entire thread proceeded to rage at me.

I don't know computers, which is why I didn't want to give a price. I just want to know what the cheapest one is I could get.

Well, I don't know the validity of what those people were saying to you in that thread. You can definitely build a good computer that will run games well for about $500 or $600, and you can get a good laptop for that money, but not a good gaming laptop.

And honestly, PC gaming is not "way too expensive". The hardware, for one, is a lot better than all the consoles currently available. Games also go on sale for very often on steam for very cheap. I bought about 120 new, good games from the steam sales for about $200 total.

You definitely can't get the best PC between $300-$500. Let alone a gaming laptop because they are considerably more expensive than a PC of equivalent specs.

You might consider this one.

Yup, that looks good. Did you get an aftermarket CPU cooler (like the Cooler Master 212+)? Because you have an overclockable CPU along with a motherboard meant for overclocking, so I hope you did. It's fine if you didn't though. You can always add this on at a later time.

Wait...are you asking for a laptop fro $600 that can run games, or a desktop?

If for a laptop...get this laptop.

If for a desktop...get this desktop.

If you're going to build a desktop...build this desktop.

Erm... I was actually told otherwise about overclocking and that it decreases the life of all my components. I'm not planning on buying a heat-sink. Are the intel box ones that bad?

The Intel heatsinks that come standard are...."ok" if you're not doing ANY overclocking what so ever. I'd still recommend getting an aftermarket CPU fan (such as the Hyper 212). It's only $30.

Get a locked CPU. It's just a waste to get an unlocked CPU if you're not planning to overclock.

There's the Core i5-3570, 3550, 3470. The only difference is clock speed.

Obviously you can't get the best for $500. I never said that. My $1200 gaming PC isn't the best either, but I never said it was.

Also, a good build for less than $500: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/oHRZ

It depends on how intensely you overclock. As long as the voltage isn't too high, then it wont degrade the CPU as bad. There are plenty of resources on overclocking, so if you're interested look into those. Otherwise, if you aren't overclocking (and you haven't bought the parts yet) change the CPU to a 3470 and the motherboard to an H77 or B75 chipset.

And if you aren't overclocking then the stock HSF are sufficient enough.

The i5-3570 is currently $214 at Newegg and I got the 3570k for around $170. I may choose to OC but people tell me you don't even need a CPU to be faster and that games rely mostly on GPU's.

The difference between what? A laptop and a gaming laptop? There isn't really, and further more you should not buy products meant for gamers (like Alienware.)

What's important is the GPU in the laptop, and you will not find a laptop with a GPU that runs the games you want at your price range.

Then you're fine. Just keep in mind you can always add an aftermarket cooler later on. And if you really want a 650ti, EVGA is a good retailer. I still recommend the 7850 over it though. Gigabyte is a good retailer for Radeon cards.

That said, I have no idea what a GPU is.

All you need to know is that the GPU is what processes the graphics of your game.

If you give me how much you're willing to spend I can help you out.

That's the thing. It's not a matter of how much to spend. I was just wondering if Black Friday has any deals anywhere where a machine capable of running games easily is cheaper than normal. I don't have a price range. I was just hoping somebody could tell me the minimum. For a laptop.

Yes, ASUS makes good products. The laptop he linked is good, but it wont run any games well at all. Just saying.

If you want to build though, come to me.
