I'm using a x64 bit OS but nearly everything gets installed to Program Files (x86)...wtf? Wut. Just because your OS is 64 bit doesn't mean developers don't make 32bit programs now. If a program has a 64 bit version, it'll either give you an option to download that version, or it'll download it through it's installer. Otherwise, it goes in the x86 folder. All a 64 bit Windows really means is that you can use more than 3 or 4GBs of RAM, not sure the exact amount. There might be other differences, but that's really about it.
And, what do you mean by adapter, Thirsty? A special power cord, or what?
