Just wondering, how much desk space do you guys have? I want to put a 27" monitor and my PC on a desk, can't decide between a 1m glass desk and a 1.2m slightly crappier looking wood one, both 0.6m deep.

Thanks.

Not much, but that's because I have my PS3 on here as well (but then again, it's only temporarily replacing my printer, which is on another desk). I can easily fit a normal sized paper on the front space of my monitor, so I can draw on my desk no problem :)

Is it just a simple desk? Any drawers?

Thanks for reading my signature!

None of the ones I'm looking at have any storage space, since I want to sit on the left and have my PC on the right, so I can stare lovingly into the case window. Most desks have the drawers on the left.

If you don't want drawers or extra stuff.

Who the hell do you think I am?

Honestly, why would you get 12GB of RAM, a 3770 with a 640? Did you actually build that, or was it some ibuypower thing?

He said it was prebuilt.

Sadly, prebuilt. When I go to Microcenter and walk past the prebuilt section, this is actually what all the specs. I think the best prebuilt I found was i7 3770, 12GB RAM, and a 660.

Why so much RAM? Also, I think if you spent about $20 or so more, you could have gotten a better PSU, but yours is still good. Overall, very good. Just curious, but why'd you choose an ITX build?

Hmm looking at all these glass desks has me worried about putting so much stuff on them. If it breaks its thousands down the drain.

Thanks.

But if you look at those other images and its reviews, it seems to hold up fine. You could always get some cheap Ikea desk or something.

I had a bit more to spend on my budget, and I figured it couldn't hurt especially when it comes to running programs that are serious business such as Photoshop, CAD and Revit for my Architecture program. I also have 2 monitors, so I'm more tempted to have more applications running at once.

As for the ITX, I wanted something small. Things such as extras harddrives and CD drives are all going to be done from outside the PC. Have a NAS currently going at home, and I haven't used CD/DVD in years.

Yea, I suppose. Wood just seems stronger than glass though.

Ah, well, yeah if you're doing CAD and all that, 16GB is definitely gonna be helpful.

Yeah, thinking about updating the card. Is it more difficult to change the parts because it's prebuilt?

Nope

Just pull it out, and stick the new card in.

Holy -blam!-! Tried fraps without vsync, and I get an average of 130fps (vsync off). I turn Vsync and triple buffering on in-game settings, and it's 60 fps no change, yet I still get stutters. Doesn't that only happen when fps dips below 60? Now I'm more confused.
