No problem. Also, keep an eye out for the Steam winter sales that start tomorrow. Dozens of games are going to be on sale for 50-90% off.

YES! I'm hoping some Skyrim DLC goes on sale!

By the way, we have a steam group here.

That's a static link which brings us to our own parts page. You have to save it as a build, click the "view" button, and then copy the URL.

You can drop the mobo to an AsRock Z77 Extreme3 (less SATA ports) and save $30. Other than that, there's nothing that I would change if I were you.

Does anyone know of a good gaming keyboard that's on Amazon?

EDIT: Does it even need to be a gaming keyboard? Can it be a regular keyboard?
Get a mechanical keyboard.

May cost a bit much but they're worth the investment.

Any sales on Origin? There's a sale for the Singaporean region.

Okay then, thank you. I'll try to figure out something, and if I can't, then oh well.
You can always install the trial of Windows from their website. It gives you 60 days before you need to activate, and you can reactivate it for a total of 180 days. Would that be enough time to get money for an operating system?

You would have an OS, it just wouldn't be genuine. It would function exactly like a normal one, only it makes you pay for it after the trial expires.

Here's what everything look like so far. Obviously the cabling on the set up is a mess, but that comes after the GPU has arrived and is installed.

edit: Realizing now how poor the quality on that picture is.

I've decided that I don't really want a mechanical keyboard but I do want to make sure that I can press...Say, 8 buttons at once just in case. Does anyone know of a keyboard that I can get? Does anyone even know how to know how many keys you can press on a keyboard?

Any PS/2 keyboard

I can not find anywhere on any keyboard how many keys you can press. Why is that?

USB keyboards range anywhere from 2 - 10 keys being pressed at a single time, but with any PS/2 keyboard, it can register every key at the same time.

My brother is down from Kentucky and he brought his PC games with him.

It's huuuge

Easily 5 pounds or more of pure PC games.

So gonna install a ton of these games once I get my desktop built.

USB is limited to 6KRO unless you have a Cooler Master Quickfire Pro, Noppoo, or Ducky. They are able to use NKRO over USB because they actually appeal to the operating system as multiple keyboards, each with 6KRO.

Sadly, most membranes are limited to 2-10 KRO even with a PS/2 adapter just because of how poorly the board is set up. You can see examples of this by holding both shift keys and trying to type the alphabet. You might even get some ghosting in there too.

The only PS/2 non-mechanical keyboards are multiple years old, so you'd be hard-pressed to find a good one.

I'll be using my 10 year old Dell PS/2 keyboard, will that be good?

Anything that really stands out in that pile?

Good old hypocrisy, what humanity does best.

Got limited space and I'll be hooking up whatever PC I build to a TV rather than a monitor. Probably will be using a wireless keyboard and mouse as well but I was just thinking of making this.

The build in the article recommends removing the Optical Disk Drive but won't I need it first to install the OS and such?

You don't need that expensive of a cooler, but yes, it'll do. Also, don't get a Zotac. Get an EVGA for a GPU.
