Too expensive, my moms actually buying this laptop for me, and then with me gonna be building my computer later this year, she only wants to spend 250>

You cant' get a good laptop for less than $250 IMO. Mine cost like $500, and it is totally -blam!-.

This. I used to work at Best Buy and I was one of the few employees that actually knew what I was talking about. I've built multiple computers and upgraded my laptops etc... But I can't tell you how many times I had people come in asking for $250 laptops with the power and functionality of $2000 desktops. Technology is expensive, I get that, especially being a college student but it's unbelievable what people think they can get with very low end machines. This post isn't directed at anybody btw in specific, just wanted to comment.
I think that's partially because stores like best buy overprice these things by a lot. A computer that costs $250 could likely be worth only a hundred, so in some instances you would just want to buy from a reliable dealer rather than whatever is the most convenient way to get one.

I got these cheeseburgers man....

My mom got her laptop on a special at Microcenter for 250, so I'm just gonna wait for one of those. And it doesn't need to and a good laptop, I just want semi decent specs, since I'll buy used if I don't o for a deal. Since I am building a desktop later this year, I don't need t worry about this lasting.

Here
$250 @ Microcenter. Granted, you can't play anything but the least demanding games, and even that has to be on the lowest possible settings to play comfortably (not even good). So honestly, I'd save that $250 and just wait. Spending it on a laptop like that is almost a waste, IMO.

I'd get it, because ill still need a computer when I go to my dads house. I don't even want to game on that, its strictly for casual/school work usage, the only gaming I'd even think about would be Minecraft. I'll check with my mom and see what she thinks.

Also, greekboy, why such a big PSU.

What would you suggest? I'd like one that has at least a little room to upgrade.

650W should be enough if you're planning to run only a single graphics card. Personally, I'd recommend the Seasonic S12II 620W, it's also 80 Plus certified, reasonably priced and is built really well.

650W, Corsair or OCZ are really good brands. Also, make sure its 80 Plus certified.

Looks good, though you might want to look into the 660ti, it's new and it comes with a free copy of Borderlands 2.

Yep definitely

Before you buy a keyboard, have you tried searching for mechanicals? Maybe you would like to spring on a cheaper keyboard and think about saving up later for a mechanical, or something. Just something to think about.

I couldn't say how it would run Planetside 2, but it would run BF3 maxed at 1920x1080 with ~30FPS. Looks very good, but if you could manage it I would highly recommend the 660 Ti. $300. With twice the power of the 560 Ti. Oh unless your going to SLi or do something ridiculous that PSU is a little bit on the high power side.

Fallout New Vegas.
It runs terrible.
And I can run Skyrim with 2k Textures+ENB and Crysis 2 on DX11+HD Texture pack.
Meh, I was bored out of that game anyways.
Too bad Battlefront 2 had issues with Nvidia's new GPU's.

During E3 it was stated that Planetside 2 was running on max on a GTX 670. A 560 Ti offers a little less than half of the power of a 670. So you might be able to run it on medium depending on screen resolution.

Of course, by the time it's a public beta (currently in a closed, wave by wave, beta), it should be optimized a lot better.

I was told by someone in the beta currently they were running 60Fps out in the open and 40 in battles with my exact setup. :D

Unless you really need the 3570k, you could always tone it down to a 2500k, and you could cheapen the keyboard or mouse, thats if you want a better GPU.
