Subject: The ODSTs won't exist anymore.

Actually I don't think there is a such thing as a SPARTAN-I, because if you pre-ordered Halo Reach, you get a small black box, along with the game, and in that small box is a black package. The package contains Halsey's Journal the journal has information on the ORION Program, which was the foundation of the SPARTAN Project. Since the ORION Program killed most of it's test subjects, the UNSC terminated the ORION Program, so they stopped working on the project. Later in Halsey's Journal, she states is ordered to start a project similar to the ORION Program. She was allowed to name the Project whatever she wanted. She named it the SPARTAN Project. Because she didn't want to make it seem like the deaths of the test subjects from the ORION Program to be in vain, Halsey renamed the SPARTAN Project in tribute to their deaths, the SPARTAN-II Project.

So there you have it. That is why I don't think there is a such thing as a SPARTAN-I.
ORION Project = Spartan I project. The ORION program laid down the foundation for the Spartan II program.

Johnson is a Spartan I and he was in ORION. As far as most of the community is concerned, the ORION project was renamed the Spartan I program by Halsley to acknowledge their efforts.

I thought that only children were accepted into the SPARTAN Programs.

ORION Candidates were Special Forces members of most branches (as far as I'm concerned, that is) as well as the Spartan IV's. Spartan II and III's took children only to maximize the learning and because their augmentations had to be applied at the dawn/peak of puberty.

ODST is like special operation and the Spartan program is like the special forces. They each have different jobs.

Anything an ODST can do, an ODST with augments and a suit of mjolnir armor can do much better so........that makes zero sense.

Which I'm waiting to hear how they made the augmentations work with adults.

If the UNSC can afford to outfit every ODST with augmentations and MJOLNIR, then that's utter BS as the UNSC's resources got utterly trashed.

I thought Johnson was an ODST because if you pre-ordered halo 3: ODST you can play as Johnson in firefight. If I remember corrcogectly, Johnson is wearing ODST armor.

The person who said participating is important, not winning, obviously never won anything.

Johnson is a firefight character.

Firefight is not canon, as it is multiplayer.

End of story.

I started up the heated debate on whether the SPARTAN-II in the cryo tube near the end of Reach is really Linda.
I created the Moa XING avatar pic.
Also I earned the All Star nameplate with this submission to Week 14 All Stars http://www.bungie.net/images/News/Inline11/bwu_0415/art/likea boss.jpg

Due to the fact that Spartan-IVs wear expensive MJOLNIR armor, I'm sure ODSTs will still exist.
