Umm, what? Fallout 3 and NV are made by two different companies, and Fallout 2 came out in 1998. Oblivion and Skyrim are 5 years apart. And yes, Fallout 3 and Skyrim are -blam!- (NV is good, but that's because Obsidian Entertainment made it), but I wouldn't expect someone who doesn't even know how far apart a series' games are developed but still uses it as an argument to know so.[/quote]How do you know Bungie doesn't have two teams (the size of a small studio) working on the second title right now? Bungie is a big company. They had a team working on ODST while developing Reach and they've grow a lot since 08. If you think Fallout 3 and Skyrim are bad, you have a very high standard and unique taste in games which differs from the majority's.
And ODST was a small project.
Think? I know, I played both for countless of hours. Fallout 3 was buggy, lacked quests, and the story line and writing was just plain boring and linear in comparison to NV, which had great writing and a great atmosphere, as well as a -blam!- ton of more quests. Skyrim...if you think Skyrim is good, you know nothing about RPG's. Also, that 'majority' is what we call casuals, aka, people who will buy a game and be interested in it because it's dumbed down for them. Just like Minecraft. Don't tell me you think Minecraft is a good game.Let me try and get a handle on your argument here. *Ahem*
You believe that because you can poke holes in the logic of people who like popular games, those games are bad. And, that because you can point out reasons that you, personally dislike these widely renowned games which have been praised by the masses from the "hardcore" to "casual" gamers alike automatically points to and solidifies the fact that these games are inherently bad and anyone who disagrees with you is inherently wrong.
Hmm... that's an interesting theory that you've got going there. It's too bad it's wrong.
Opinions are opinions. Facts are facts. These are things that you probably should've learned in the 3rd grade, but apparently didn't. So I'll teach you. Whens someone offers an opinion like, "Skyrim was a good game" (not that anyone even directly did) and then you come back with "I dislike Skyrim because x, y, and z", your side of the argument does not win. You are not crowned the victor because your opinion is greater than his, because it's not.
The fact of the matter is each company works differently with different time constraints, under different conditions, and handle these pressures in different ways. You have no idea how Bungie will or can work under a 2 year production cycle just as you don't know how Infinity Ward works on a 5 to 6 year production cycle. Feel free to -blam!- and moan after the first Destiny game comes out and you can point to reasons (however tedious) why you dislike this game.
Otherwise, please ponder the difference between fact and opinion whilst the rest of us discuss the contract for and idea of these games.
