I'm surprised this hasn't been locked/deleted in an attempt to keep the leak from spreading :/

lol. The spread is already over the internet, much beyond bungie.net.

The mods will simply establish their own SOPA legislation. Problem solved.

"made public for the first time as part of a separate lawsuit involving the Call of Duty game franchise."
Where's Foman when you need him the most.

2 year is good enough, why? Because Bungie has grown, Bungie has more employees than before, more experienced after making Halo, I do believe they can do this, Bungie has never delivered something is not fun, that's their main motivation, they have said it before, they won't release a game that it's not fun or interesting for them.

So I do trust them.

That's just to lull us into a false sense of security before they Carpet Ban everything on the site.

Thank you Bungie,

See you starside.

Loving this quote from IGN's comment section of their website on the article about the leaked documents:

finally bungie will be able to go to there full potential with a game on the PS3 and PS4, they will bring there sci fi shooter into a revolutionary state that goes beyond microsoftness and into hardcore level that as never been done before by them since there existence in society years ago.

Bungie show microsoftness that your tough guys full of superiority with the PS3 and 4 for the rest of our life HAHA.

I personally like more Xbox 360 or PC.

I'm the cult of personality,
I call it like i see it, if i feel the need to be blunt and to the point, then i will, if i feel the need to be very detailed, i will, im here to stay and im here to do things my way, if you respect that or not is your choice, not mine,
and don't worry, while i don't agree with everyone's opinion, i do respect everyone's opinion.

its not a leak guys

seems like our fears where indeed true

The contract was included in a lawsuit filed by former Activision employees Jason West and Vincent Zampella. The contract revealed Bungie's plans for a new "sci-fantasy, action shooter" code-named "Destiny" with plans for an initial release in the fall of 2013.

Bungie and Activision planned to release the new game first on the Xbox 360 and its next-generation successor with subsequent releases on the PS3, Sony's next Playstation console and the PC. Bungie also agreed to develop four of the "Destiny" games with a release every other year starting in 2013. Four downloadable expansion packs nicknamed "Comet" would follow the initial release of "Destiny" every other year starting in 2014.

The contract also revealed Bungie's plans for a revival of the Marathon FPS, an early cult hit for the company in 1994 on the Apple Macintosh.

i dispised activision before but now i dispise them on a whole new level

You imply a level of control over Halo: Reach matchmaking that we no longer have. Or, in your vernacular, it isn't our shiznit anymore.

You might want to save that for the teaser trailer, but do as you wish :)

Even then, Reach was rated PEGI-16.

Looks like the game has to have a "Teen" rating or else it will be a breach of the contract. Looks like no more "Mature" games from Bungie for the next 10 years.
That isn't what is said at all.
"[Bungie] shall work closely with [Activision] to obtain a "Teen" rating... In no event shall a failure to obtain a "Teen" or PEGI-16" or equivilent rating be deemed a breach of this agreement."

Anyone but Foman. He smells like cheese.

Don't see anything in the article or the contract that we didn't already know. I guess the confirmation about a small Marathon sequel is new, but this is only a confirmation -- the speculation on a Marathon-based title has been incredibly strong for years, so this should not be a shock to any Bungie fan. Only slightly more detail about the number of games, years, and so on. All of the broad strokes are things we already knew...

Smart Bungie is smart...

Marathon...(starts humming Infinity menu music in head).

That's all I got out of this. As for Destiny, I'll start paying attention when they actually show it off.

Lots of the specific conditions and regulations set by Acti. are very, very new and quite a shock, to be honest. Not all of them are as bad as they're made out to be, but still.

Well, 'Marathon' is a surprising addition - although the specifics are unclear. It might be a codename, rather than a new addition to the existing Marathon universe.

Meh, maybe it's because I've seen so many vertical contracts like this before, but I didn't see anything that surprised me. Most of the terms are boilerplate for this kind of relationship.
