Subject: Communication ban. ?

I can't seem to figure this out.. I've been unable to talk in-game basically since the first month or so of starting my account. I've been unable to communicate in game for about 2 and a half months. I can talk in private parties via xbox live, but in-game, I can't hear anyone, and no one can hear me. I was never notified from xbox live, (neither email, nor xbox live) that a communication ban has been placed on my account.

I'm trying to see who I can/need to get into contact with to see how to reverse this, get an appeal, and/or how long it lasts.

There's nothing you can do; you lose.

So it's just on an auto-ban frenzy, and you can't do anything to change it??

or would I have to attempt to contact 343? (IF possible)

Not that I know of, it doesn't last forever though.

When I play to win I voice message people call outs.

Are your setting on adult? If not then that's probably you're problem.

I've been this way for like 3 months now :/

How long is not forever? I'd assume upon first offence it's like 60-120days, no longer..

Also, family settings are off, seeing I'm the primary user (I like to go without interruptions from stuff like that.

OP It either is your settings what are messed up or you are mute banned. Does this only happen in Halo?

The mute ban was set in place by bungie, if you get muted enough by other people (aka. you're really annoying) you will be mute banned. No one knows how to get it off or how long it lasts because Bungie never said anything about it or how to deal with it. Some people have been mute banned for over a year.

--Tea-baggers are funny, it's as if they think they are far more hetero than the people who do it in real life, because they use their e-ballsacks to do it. What a manly victory dance.

You have your Reach settings on mute, or your family/security settings are screwed up on the xbox. If you were mute banned, you see other people with mics but can't hear them, but anyone can un-mute you and you will be able to talk to them. If you don't see anyone with microphones ever, it's your settings.

1. It's not a mute ban like others are saying.

A mute ban wouldn't prevent you from hearing others, YOU would appear muted to them, that's it.

2. Can you hear people that are not on your friends list in party chat?

3. Is this only on Halo or does it happen with other games?

If you can only hear people that are on your friends list in party chat and it happens on other games as well, then its your family/security settings. Go to Xbox.com and change it.

If its only on Halo then its your in game audio settings, your "mute voice" will be on.
