Does it mean that Destiny is a sci-fi or a fantasy game or that Destiny is a blend of these two like Shadowrun?

Yes, like 40K and Star Wars as well. A blend of both science fiction and fantasy.

Do not waste your tears, I was not born to watch the world grow dim. Life is not measured in years, but by the deeds of men.

We should know better, because we are better.

Destiny would be a blend. Sci-fantasy includes common fantasy elements fixed with common science fiction elements to create something new. 40k, as ROBERTO mentioned above, takes the classic fantasy races (minus the dwarves) and sticks them in space. Star Wars takes wizardry powers and introduces them to space creating the Jedi. I would expect to see some fantasy race analogues in the game or some form of magic, but that is just me.

It could be similar to Final Fantasy, where they mix sci-fi and fantasy style, but Bungie would be adding the FPS. Still nothing is confirmed yet.

I do like a bit of sci-fantasy when it's done right, but there's a very thin line to walk - too advanced and you get explanations for all the magical things which shouldn't be explained (midichlorians, anyone?) but too fantastical and the science fiction feels shoe-horned in.

I understand nothing because my life is a conspiracy.

I'm guessing fantasy backed up with science as an explanation, nothing stupid like, "That dern horse right der can fly!"

Agreed

I would say it's a Sci-Fi and Science-Fantasy is just some technical jargin.

Yeah, we don't know all the details yet, we might have to wait for a full disclosure soon.

Five exclamations marks are a good signifier of an insane mind. As is trying to hide from Death in an airtight room. Silly wizard.

What are midichlorians?

Star Wars, the more obscure parts of the Elder Scrolls.
