I think even Halo 2 was a better game than 3.

An Halo 2 wasn't even just a bad Halo game, it was a bad game period.

Halo 2 and 3 are bad games.....
You're gonna regret saying that.

I'm going to let you in on something.

I been playing Halo since CE came out in 2001.

Irrelevant. You're still bad and that's why you like Reach.

Why does everyone hate Halo 2? Maybe its because its the worst game ever next to mario.

The one with ridiculous aim assist, humongous hitboxes, swipe sniping, button glitches and super bounces.

He watches every Hodgetwin video they put up...on ALL their channels. He calls them the Hodge Triplets, and considers himself the 3rd triplet. He's started talking and acting like them now. Every other line out of his mouth "Thaaas some BULLLLLL**** maaayne" or "Gotta make dem gainzzzz". He calls his biceps "gains". When he eats post-workout, he talks to his biceps, "Don't worry gains, I'm feeding you. Daddys gonna feed you, gainz *kisses biceps*".

Halo 3. I never had a chance to play H2 online.

Halo 3: ODST is the closest game to CE, and Reach is closer to CE than 2/3 and they hate them.
ODST didn't have mp.

Reach's campaign and mp is nothing like CE. Plasma pistol, Elite enemies, etc., all that stuff is just a small start and it's not even on par thanks to false difficulty.

H3 was more closer to CE. It had a megabattle, brought back checkpoint fountains (go to a spot, get a checkpoint. Come back later, get another checkpoint), had more alert AI (if I'm sneaking up to Brutes and I melee an enemy through/in front of them, they'll notice me. In Reach, if I land in front of a Jackal or an Elite, it takes them a while to notice me. Sometimes they don't), no 1 hit kill melees (Elites in CE didn't do that unless they had swords. Elites in H2 did and also in Reach if your shield was damaged), Hunter killing checkpoints (kill some Hunter pairs and you get a checkpoint), The Ark (way better than Nightfall and resembles T&R + AotCR + Silent Cartographer. You can even see the resemblance in architecture in the rooms leading to the cartographer), The Covenant (if I were to go into detail, it would be too long to read).

What ruined H3 was the speeded up animations for enemies (Grunts panic=I have to get lucky to headshot them with BR), the slow Chief, the Chieftains (they are pathetic), severely nerfed Jackal snipers (it's bad enough to take away their attentiveness and make them easier to see but making them lose their accuracy? ODST went even further and took away their damage, though that might have been a good thing), the Flood (when you see your pal Arby meleeing them all to death with a Carbine and their small numbers, you know that Flood are not a threat. Yet H3 did restore Flood buddies), the weapon sandbox (pistol can't be used to fend off multiple Brutes), the overall false difficulty and bs (S117 missile Pelican), and various changes that make Reach look better (or at least pleasant).

In other words, mostly poor campaign balancing.

Just for the note, I began with Halo PC, enjoy CE and H2, sometimes H3, have great regard for ODST, and I see that Reach has potential.

Posted by: Darkness TB
Coincedence? No.
True. There's less appreciation for CE and ODST from players who love CoD-esque action and scripting. I'm still disappointed that ODST had to be based off of H3 and didn't extend it's improvements to remove the shackles of excessive scripting.

Halo: Reach is the beginning of a new age for gaming.
It proves that developers can get away with punishing their players instead of fixing their game....and yet the fanboys will still sing praises to them.

-blam!- all of you fanboys!

The one that forced you to use a 3rd party program that was far superior than the pile of -blam!- they called matchmaking.

You know, the multiplayer system that let you make a room, give it a name and description. And everyone available had a chance to browse a list of rooms being hosted. and could actually make a choice about joining that room. Rather than being forced into a room by some lame math program that doesn't have a -blam!- clue what I'm looking for, or the type of people I enjoy playing with.

That would be Halo:CE. Before XBox Live even existed.

Still is the BEST multiplayer experience out of the entire Halo franchise. And it's not nostalgia that makes me say this. It's the way it worked. It was effecient, it was CORRECT! It didn't force anyone do to anything. It gave everyone a choice.

Matchmaking says.. "oh your skill level is this, here let me lock you in this room with these people...." QUIT! (Then the quit ban was made)

So anyone that chose Halo 2 and above.... you're -blam!- idiots!

If I search in the MLG playlist, I will be put into a lobby where myself and the rest of the lobby will either veto or vote on what to play from the pool of MLG gametypes. Amazing, isn't it?

It's not random. It's just not as specific as you want it to be.

-blam!- deal with it.

If a custom game becomes popular and lots of people want to play it, it will be put into MM where it will be available for the whole world. Until then, just accept that no one wants to play your stupid custom gametype.

Has nothing to do with the game catering to me.

If you'd rather have a game that treats you like just another cow in the herd..so be it. I'd rather be treated like a VIP.

It does cater to individuals, however. If I wanted to play MLG, I'd go search in the MLG playlist. If I wanted to play BTB, I'd go play in the BTB playlist.

How does it not cater to individuals?

Sure.

Matchmaking

Forces people to play a bunch of random -blam!-.
So that stats can be properly compared.
Because if people had a choice on what they played. Competitives would -blam!- that those stats are boosted.
Can't compare stats against boosters.
So, force people to play a wide spectrum of gametypes and maps, and stats become a little more realistic for comparing against.

People start to quit out of games alot because they are being forced to play stuff they don't like.

A new voting system gets made that gives complete control over to the Tryhard with teams. Individuals get screwed over.
A quit ban gets made. A single individual quitting from a match can apparently ruin the whole match.

Competitive don't want join-in-progress. Competitives usually don't have people on their team quitting. It's the opposing team that has quitters. They still don't want join in progress.

That means competitives love stomping on teams that are not only less skilled than they are. But they also prefer if that nooby team has less players.

Does that sum it up for you?

Tell me...what is buried inside both those playlists

Tell me what is the current status of games within just the BTB playlist?

That -blam!- playlist does not cater to individuals

Every playlist in this game, caters to teams and teams only. Simply because of the new voting system.

So do not tell me that this system even remotely cares about the individual.

Matchmaking = Treats people like cows
Server Browser = Everyone is a VIP
