lol, halo 3 has the most votes?
shows that the average user here is either a baby who never played it's predecessors or that the majority of people are just plain stupid

Or that people just have different opinions.

Only three choices there:

1. It was the first Halo game they started with or played a lot on
2. It was the first Halo game where they became relatively good at it
3. They don't know anything better or are too young to understand

Or they just like it because they like it.

There doesn't need to be an explanation.

If they don't suck it at first, just thrust and thrust til they do

well, coming from someone who has only played 3 and reach online, i'd have to say reach is my fav gameplay wise. I'm a noob yes but not a fool because i appreciate the look of reach. Details, sound effects etc and new weapons. i'm not really someone to stress over the more technical side of gameplay such as mechanics and stuff. I also had cooler armor in reach :D

campaign wise, 2 & 3 were the best followed closely by CE

The Internet is an empowerment tool that's agnostic; it doesn't care about race, gender, or age.

Despite the multiple problems H2 had online with the cheating and such. I still prefer it over everything.

The one that forced you to use a 3rd party program that was far superior than the pile of -blam!- they called matchmaking.

You know, the multiplayer system that let you make a room, give it a name and description. And everyone available had a chance to browse a list of rooms being hosted. and could actually make a choice about joining that room. Rather than being forced into a room by some lame math program that doesn't have a -blam!- clue what I'm looking for, or the type of people I enjoy playing with.

That would be Halo:CE. Before XBox Live even existed.

Still is the BEST multiplayer experience out of the entire Halo franchise. And it's not nostalgia that makes me say this. It's the way it worked. It was effecient, it was CORRECT! It didn't force anyone do to anything. It gave everyone a choice.

Matchmaking says.. "oh your skill level is this, here let me lock you in this room with these people...." QUIT! (Then the quit ban was made)

So anyone that chose Halo 2 and above.... you're -blam!- idiots!

This.

Okay, listen, we should get our stories straight, all right? If anyone asks, and no one's gonna ask, don't worry, but if anyone asks, tell them as far as you know, the last time you checked, everyone looked pretty much alive, all right? Not dead.

You're argument is severely flawed.

If you're going into BTB you shouldn't expect to have teammates who know what they're doing or not face good players. When you click on a server in Halo PC, there will still be good players and there will still be dumb teammates (unless by magic you somehow manage to eliminate this). Or worse--you'll get aimbotters and other cheaters.

Join in progress is not going to solve the quitting solution. People are gonna join into a losing game (possibly even end up in a spawn kill as soon as they join), or a map or gametype they don't like, and then quit again. And then someone will join in and do the same. It'll be an endless cycle of quits. The whole point of matchmaking is to play different kinds of games with different people around the world. If you want to play the same thing over and over you either run a playlist with a team or play customs.

Why must you drag 'competitives' into every single argument you make? It's as if you're carrying a tremendous grudge against anyone who's good at the game and you intend to degrade them and/or lump into the stereotypical "MLG tryhard", when in fact many of them are quite the opposite.

Why don't you ever use the quote button? Seeing a response 10 replies later with no context as to who you're talking to is hard to follow

Although I like Vanilla Reach a lot I hate the tu. also, I love the Anniversary playlists. But Halo 3 by far has the best maps/gameplay. Excluding Equipment.

Custom Edition is the best Halo multiplayer experience.

A competitive players main goal is to win.
A casuals main goal is to have fun regardless of whether that results in a win or loss.
It has nothing to do with individual skill or knowledge, it has to do with the reason you play.

Halo 3.

Halo 2 is second close, but amount of cheaters made it fall second to H3.

Then all Halo games, except Reach.

Every single pummel I have is unboosted.
I play GGL. (Grifball)
I hit inheritor 14/1/12. 16 months after release. I have a life fellas.
Every single killionaire I have is unboosted. 22 from grifball, 4 from LD.

Custom Edition is the best Halo multiplayer experience.

The brains is strong in this one.
Custom is what got me on Halo. I have at least 3.5k games JUST on BG, be it race, KOTH or Big Team games.

Also, E0S and Darkness, can you fellas go to a psychiatrist for me? I don't like psychos here. Thanks.

Halo 2, anyone who says H3 is better than H2 is a complete moron or didnt play H2 in its prime.

Halo: Reach is the beginning of a new age for gaming.
It proves that developers can get away with punishing their players instead of fixing their game....and yet the fanboys will still sing praises to them.

-blam!- all of you fanboys!

Halo Custom Edition was actually kind of stupid.
For one reason.

Gearbox, -blam!- it up.

When I toss a grenade under an advancing warthog and watch it go flipping, and skipping through the air, only to appear on all 4 wheels again like nothing happened... No way. That game falls flat on its face. Because one of the main cores of playing Halo at that time, was making well placed grenades to flip over the warthogs during an enemy rush.

And this was just the game itself. didn't matter how powerful the computer or your internet. Gearbox -blam!- something up.

I haven't played it in a long while, so maybe they finally patched it up to par with the XBox version..who knows.
