It's not a problem. It just means your computer is slow.

Post your system specs. Then we can all point and laugh at how horrible your computer is.

Maw

give your specs, it sounds like a prossesing problem. If you have some cash, get a new prossesor, and memory. It might be your video card, go to settings on Halo, then video, and turn everything down or off (except resalution and refresh) If that helps the problem is your graphics card. wait if you want a second openion, I dont know everything, you know.

Run Halo in Safemode, that will turn off all eyecandy by default and should give you the smoothest possible game on your computer.

Just rightclick the Halo icon and add "-safe" in your target line.

Also, check the guides up there, I think there are one or two articles on how to get a better Halo out of your computer.

If that doesn't work too well, you'll need to upgrade or even replace your computer.

Or you can use the 1.1 Halo resolutions, instead of the 2.0. It's sort of the same as safemode, since they both take away eyecandy but increases FPS. Right click Halo icon, then add " -add11" in your target line. Hope I was a bit of a help.
