If it is something we've seen before, it is a Brute. The most obvious and easily seen part of the model is the arm; two separate sections, a beefy upper arm and a beefy lower arm form its arm. The arm is bent. This rules out:
- Grunts. Their arms are fat, but they don't bend.
- Jackals. Their arms are skinny as hell.
- Drones. Their arms are also skinny as hell.
- Humans. Were the marines that buff?
You may also rule out others for other reasons:
- Elites. The helmet doesn't fit, and their legs are 'normal'.
- Hunters. For obvious reasons.
- Humans. Technology-reasons; Brutes make much more sense.
Why no hair, though? Well, considering that the graphics on it are worse than Halo 2's, I wouldn't believe that it is completely rendered. And hair is probably the last thing on the rendering list (it is an add-on).
We have never seen the wealth of Brute technology; we've only seen what they carry onto Elite-made places (High Charity, other Capital Ships...). Brutes must have much different technology than Elites, simply because their races were separated for so long. New gun, new armor, new look, new chieftain carrying all these things out (Tartarus died in Halo 2).
It could be Forerunner or the Drisnol (or whatever the new race is), easily. But if it is something we've seen before, the evidence points to a Brute.
