Subject: Most emotional death in Halo? (Spoilers)

2. Guilty Spark. The Forerunners should have provided him with a companion... you can't blame him for what he did. They weren't gods and neither was he.

5. Prophet of Mercy. Betrayed, abandoned, but still maintaining his belief in the Great Journey. He was victim of Truth's lies.
6. Jorge

I was pissed most at Johnson.

I am merely a soldier in the massive army commonly known as the Internet.

That one marine who died on that level in one of the games.

You mean the one who did that stuff at that one place? Or do you mean the one who said that one line during that one part of the game?

Kat, unlike the rest of the deaths they're sorta martyred themselves but Kat, she got shot by a sniper and it lasted not 15 seconds...you just never had time to take in what you just saw.

I'm an Anarchist. I don't need a government to be a good person, but I'm glad it's here because some of you clearly do.

Sam, easily.

I would have to say that the most emotional death in Halo was when Sergeant Johnson died. Sergeant Johnson has been around since the very first Halo game, so we've gotten to know him really well.

"I think you need a little Sniper Therapy"

I would have to say Noble Six has the most emotional death,He was left behind after delivering Cortana, and he had to fight Hordes of Covenant to survive to only die.

I would have to say that Arbiter's death induces the most emotion. Whenever he dies, I know I'm screwed. Then again, that's what I get for letting him do all the work and cheering him on from the sidelines.

For me it as Noble Six... Could you imagine watching your last ally die and then having the fate of humanity put on your decision? The way he looked at the ship and denied the ride gave him so much respect from me... I can just imagine in those few momments what he was thinking... "Theres no way we will make it off this planet... It must be done." and just like that, he saves the POA from distruction... Even if Chief saved humanity, without Noble six... There would be nothing to save. And he died with honor, and not giving up until stabbed by an elite... Not only that, he went down in a manner where he took off his helmet as if "Theres no stopping this." He fought until he couldn't anymore and thats what a spartan TRULY is... a war machine and a savior. He was both.

Noble Six officially became more badass for me after reading that.

That just changed my view entirely.

Definitely Johnson and Miranda.

And the supposed death of the Chief was pretty emotional too.

I'm with you there, amigo.

Jacob's exit left me feeling pretty average too, especially after his character received a fleshing out in Halo: The Flood.

Kurt was pretty good, but Will was more bad-ass- He died on his feet.

Noble Team felt cheap and not as fleshed out as they should have been, and Sgt. Forge, well, it was a noble feat, but as Halo Wars wasn't exactly a character driven drama, his character seemed pretty disposable.

I think it might be key's daughter. ya know being gunned down in cold blood. But thats just my opinion

<(-_-)> Teh mokey is not amused

Gonna have to say noble team. With the exception of emile and carter, all their deaths had a huge impact.

Don't -blam!- with Kerser!

"Your pal, where's he going?"

"Earth! To finish what we started, and this time, none of you will be left behind..."

Actually, i think the most dramatic and emotional death was Sgt. Johnson. Cuz the scene had a lot of sad music when he died. that added alot

Definitely Johnson and Miranda.

I think I cried a little at Miranda's death, but I still believe Sergeant Johnson's was the saddest.

In memory of those fallen in the defense of Earth and her colonies.

March 3, 2553

Johnson. Or I would say Chiefs 'fake' death.

I can't get involved enough with the characters to care about them.

That one grunt that was running away...

Arbitor they outnumber us three to one!
Then it is an even fight.

Arbitor > Arbiter.
Arbitor = Rank above Arbiter.

A big thanks to kids that did this to 343 after they heard they get an infection game mode in halo 4 with no thought of normal playlists.

The arbiter in halo wars.

Kurt, Nylund crafted his character beautifully in Ghosts of Onyx.

Sif, the development her relationship with Mack received in Contact Harvest was actually one of the more detailed and emotional parts of the Halo universe as a whole.

343 Guilty Spark, mainly because Bungie treated him like some kind of joke between Halo CE-3 when actually there was an extremely deep and emotional backstory to him which Kevin Grace beautifuly exploited in CEA's Terminals.

I agree, it takes a hell of a writer to get emotional reactions out of the plight of an artificial intelligence

  • 05.30.2012 6:21 PM PDT

I definitely think Johnson was the most emotional, with Forge in second.
