Subject: Mods should be able to do...

everything/anything can be compared to sand on a beach

Bro that is really dumb. they're called,"Private Groups" for a reason. They're made for what ever you want(anything illegal of course). Giving a Ninja that sort of power is uncalled for.

You know in your group you can appoint mods to ban the trolls and spammers.

Now I am just under the impression that the op either doesn't even read his own thread.

Either that, or he is just ignoring my earlier post because he has no ability to explain why his idea could even potentially be good, in which case, it should never have been posted in the first place.

I don't mean to be mean, but if the person who presents an idea in the form of a public thread, but is not even prepared to back it up, they should not make the post at all.

So once again, I will ask, Op can you actually explain why this would even remotely be a good idea.

Every member of the Covenant shall walk the path. None will be left behind when our Great Journey begins. That is the Prophets' age-old promise, and it shall be fulfilled!

I thought we had no rights.

That's stupid. They don't know the rules of the group, so how do they know if it's a bannable offense? There's a reason they're called "private" groups.

You imply a level of control over Halo: Reach matchmaking that we no longer have. Or, in your vernacular, it isn't our shiznit anymore.

Are we supposed to discuss the idea you posted in your OP or post the first thing that pops in our head?

Op can you be serious for a second, and actually explain why this would even remotely be a good idea.
Think about it. The group TFS, made by Felicia, actually gives people something like a contract to post troll/spam threads. Imagine how many of those threads could've been stopped.

Those people are going to do that regardless of groups.

But I saw it with my own eyes and reported it to a ninja.

What you are proposing is for public mods to go into private groups that have their own mods, and ban people for spamming within those groups.

Your argument is that those threads could have been stopped if there were mods in the group?

I don't see why a group leader can't just appoint mods in their group to deal with any issues of spam that may occur. That is what Security Role Editor is for.

The leader is -blam!- Felicia! She isn't going to not encourage spam and trolling.

So then just ban them on the mains and be done with it? Don't violate the privacy of other groups just for stuff like this.

If a member wants to have a group dedicated to spamming inside that group, I see no issue with that. If people are posting spam in the public forums, regardless of where the idea to do so came from, they will be punished.

Exactly, if you're having problems within a group, just leave. If you see any spam or trolling on the forums just report it to the moderators and move on.

They do the best they can, your idea wouldn't help decrease the spam or trolling in the main forums.

Pretty sure only Superusers (example: Achronos) can do that. Could be wrong though.

Achronos (and all Supersusers) already have this ability.

Then DeeJ is probably a superuser. I know the Ninjas aren't though.
