Post how you think Bungie could make a good plot twist.

I have 2

1) The MC takes out the ship he was left on in Halo 2. It crashes on earths surface and they need to go clear the wreckage. When MC gets there, he sees masses of dead civilians and covenant. Then all the sudden a flood infection form jumps at him and he pops it with a shotty. Then he looks at the mass of dead people and thinks "this isnt happening".

2) While the major Space battle for Earth really heats up. The Civil war withing the covenant catch up with them. So now Covenant are fighting covenant, while the humans shoot at both and get the same in return. And in the midst of all this chaos, a capitol ship jumps into the middle. Everything halts as the eree green mist clears... ITS HIGH CHARITY!!

what else whould you consider to be a good plot twist for halo 3?

Erm, High Charity is a gigantic floating city, not a capital ship. Plus it's Flood infested, and I don't know that the Flood could figure out how to get it moving that quickly.

The Covenant had High Charity come to Delta Halo using some sort of slipspace.

"Its parasitic nature belies the Flood's intelligence."
- 343 Guilty Spark, The Library, Halo: Combat Evolved

The Flood could get High Charity moving again. The Flood don't attack computer-like systems; they go after their food. As long as that system wasn't in the cross-fire, the Flood could learn quickly and utalize it. Which is a huge problem, once you think about what the Flood could do to the galaxy...

The Flood got InAmber Clad using Slipspace, it shouldn't be that hard to get High Charity working...

just wait till h3 comes out... lets make threads about facts not about imaginary things

Let's go Rangers!

Speculation is fun.

I think the idea of having the Flood infest Earth is a novel one.

Also, Master Chief cannot die. Too many people would sell their 360s.

Nit picking, but who wastes a shotgun round on a mere infection form of the flood? Use your melee and conserve ammo!

plot twist: gravemind is the amalgamation of the entire forerunner population (or its higher ups). by not being a specific singular sentient form, the gravemind thing avoided death-by-halo.

High Charity was using the forerunner ship as a power source, without it the city would go nowhere, certainly not earth.

But the capital ships would have no problem with getting to earth

Well, that i didnt know. But it would still be interesting if the flood used several reacotors from the ship to power at least the engines and slipstream drive. The flood arent stupid.

Earths forces end up destroying the objects/ark/whatever. Turns out that was the only thing keeping the flood from destroying everything. So MC has to go back in time and change earth's history so that it is CAN'T destroy it or any of the Halo's. The last third of Halo 3 is MC assasinating people through history.

Well the lights were still on after the Forerunner ship took off so who knows if maybe the forerunner ship only enable the High Charity to use the Slip Space by taking it with it as the MC did on Aberclad when the ended up on the second Halo.
