Just under 3 years after Halo 3 came out, the Halo 3 forum hit 777,777 threads. We are a year and a half and this forum has 623,092 threads. This is bearing in mind that the actual forum for this game moved two months ago.

So since these kids really love stats...

The actual numbers really make kids like this look pretty stupid.

Gonna have to go with BS on this one. The stats prove otherwise. Also, 3 years after Halo 3's release, Bungie still owned Halo and people would still talk about it on their website.

There's not much to talk about in this forum anymore (which officially 'died' in the months following Bungie Day) now that Bungie no longer controls what goes on with the game.

Not defending Reach by the way. Just sayin'

Relax. I'd rather not piss this thing off.

Well Halo 3 was still owned by bungie years ago and not owned by 343i, theres a reason that activity has lowered after the switchover.

A competitive players main goal is to win.
A casuals main goal is to have fun regardless of whether that results in a win or loss.
It has nothing to do with individual skill or knowledge, it has to do with the reason you play.

Maybe because Bungie no longer makes Halo games? People probably left because they think that since Bungie left the Halo Universe, they should leave too. Bungie did great on Halo games. I just want to see how Halo 4 ends up. More objective, strategy or maybe less strategy or more action. We will have to wait and see. I still think Halo Reach was excellent though. The forge is one of the best modes of the game. The multiplayer is really fun if you play with your friends and playing custom games with a party is the most fun experience. Campaign is really good since you get to use your own character and watch him in the cutscenes. But I won't lie, the campaign can get boring if you play by yourself.

I think this has to do with a lot of the game forums being inactive. Many people, myself included, hadn't gen heard of Bungie until Halo came around. Halo really helped Bungie launch into a well known console developer, no question about it.

However the problem may be that these people were Halo fans, and not necessarily Bungie fans. So when Bungie stopped making Halo games and this site stopped being all about Halo, these Halo fans left.

However if you look at non-game forums you will see that they active, the Flood in particular.

Me? I was one of those Halo fans. However I ended up staying because of private groups and the Flood.

You realize quite a few people decide to post over at 343i's forums, since they can actually fix an error in the game.

Halo: Reach ain't no damn failure have you seen the amount of players on at one time it still reaches over 100,000 so STFU.

I would say that things didn't really die down here until they moved Halo Reach off the drop down menu.
