I have been experiencing some issues the past two days. For some reason I have been haveing trouble loading default maps that shipped with the game. When the vote screen comes up the image for the map is blank and when it is voted I cannot load the maps. I have never had this problem before. Does anyone know how I might resolve this issue?

Is your game scratched? If yes buy a new game.

http://www.capturemyhaloclips.com/ - Get your Halo clips captured.
The Artists Corner - Show other members your artistic talent.
Storywrite - Where I am writing my book.

Check to see if the disk is badly scratched.
Or you can try installing it to your HDD.

You should take better care of your game discs.

Ohai, I'm Loscocco (pronounced Loss-cocoa). I'm a college student (computer science major), 3D animator, and long-time Halo player.

It's because your disk is damaged; try washing it off with a very soft cloth and some water. Next, try installing it to your hard drive; this makes the Xbox work less hard when reading your disc. If it doesn't work, you can use something more potent; there's disk fixing polish, which is the same as car polish, for sale at many game stores. If that doesn't work, I'd suggest getting a new game.

I have already examined the disk for scratches or any sort of substance. I found nothing. I also have cleaned it with soft fabric. I take really good care of my stuff. Could there possibly be something messed up with in the saved data on my Xbox?

Probably a long shot, but try to clear your Reach cache data. Hold Up on the d-pad and the A button while starting Reach, and eventually a message will appear that says your Utility Drive is clear. It's solved some DLC issues with me before, but not specifically what is happening to you.

It will clear your recent films/maps/gametypes as well, just in case you need to save anything first.

I installed Halo: Reach to my xbox today. As far as I can tell this has resolved the issue. I did not have any trouble loading anything today. Thank you all for your help.
