it cant be Keyes, if you read the books you would know that Keyes' brain was destroyed and his memory "eaten". it would be an interesting concept, would it not be for the books

Do none of you have a sense of humour?
We do, this just isn't funny.

It isnt that Johnsons flood is dormant (sp?) and it can awaken, its the fact that it doesnt infect him because if would create an unhealthy Flood form.

The host does not reach Flood specifictions for infection ;)

its because Jonhson is black isnt it ...black people cant get infected by the flood because they are to cool.

I saw a couple of people suggest that if Captain keys was Gravmind he could have teleported from the first halo to the second one. Like the moniter could teleport all over the ring in halo 1 and gravemind in halo 2. You forget however that the reason that they could do that is that there was a telportation grid running the entire length of halo, and that they could tap into it. But if that was not there I am pretty sure that they would not be able to teleport like that. And even if they could, Halo and Halo delta are quite a ways apart. I think that it would be to for to teleport. just my thoughts.

Hmmm, I think that Graveming might be able to recontruct Cap. Keyes body from the information he gathered from Keyes' memory lke he did with Regret and use him to get control of Cortana and use him as a (almost) human shield against Miranda, Johnson and (eventually) the Master-Chief. But that is an unlikely theory, and the only one possible IMHO.

I don't think Captain Keyes is Gravemind in the sense that Keyes has control over the creature. I do think that what we saw Keyes turning into in H1 was the Gravemind. Could be wrong though. Wasn't this part of the fake "leaked" script?

It was part of the fake script but it did make some sense, I can not deny that that thing was writen pretty well.

just for those who thought that keys-as-a-gravemind would be able to teleport to delta halo... you are very wrong. In the first game Cortana even says that she can teleport on the Halo itself... it would be incredibly difficult without bending the fabrics of space and time even more to transport anything the distance from one Halo to another... the strength of the signal that would have to be transported would have to be incredibly and almost unrealistically strong, even with the use os wormholes...so it is pretty much definite that Keys is not Gravemind unless by some sheerly improbable act of the gods he was transported by some means off Halo after his brain was bashed in.

777: A number after 65 and before 9248

Isn't possible that there is a "Gravemind" for each of the Halos to govern the Flood there? Also, the flood form that took Keyes' information wasn't remotely like Gravemind; plus the MC smahed Keyes' head in, the Flood form didn't get any useful information out of him, and the whole place broke apart (which if any life did survive on the remaining peices of halo, there would be no atmosphere left for any life to survive since it's artifical). And on a side note, in the halo 3 trailer review on IGN, Cortana said the world would end "with a bang" which probably means that the rings will not be activated due to the fact that the planets that were in range of the previous activation by the Forerunners are still around and only the sentient beings on those worlds would have been killed (btw, Guilty Spark mentioned in Halo 2 not all of the galaxy had been affected by the rings {radius of extermination effect}).
Unless, in order to remotely activate the rings, the cost of doing so would require all of the Earth's energy (thermal energy). Thereby causing it to implode on itself. Just a thought.

That's just... dumb. In the first Halo, (if you bothered to play it) you see MC find Captain Keyes, taken over by the flood, and thrusts his fist through his skull to retrieve Cortana. I doubt he could be Gravemind.

.........no thanks.
I don't see how a 5 foot-ish guy would grow to like 100 feet high and spawn large
tentacle things.
Plus Captain Keyes knows Cortana, gravemind seemed as he wanted to find out more stuff from cortana.
Not captain keyes.

Still, remember what keyes was at the end of h1 that thing sure as hell wasn't a combat form, and it had some gravemind like parts. I doubt it's keyes but what about being a forerunner who was absorbed in a similar way for many thousands of years, which would give it a lot of growing time. I'm kinda against the whole 1 gravemind per ring theory cause it would be awkward if keyes was being made into a gravemind if there was already 1 on the ring.

maybe someone can come up with any evidence

p.s i have no idea wat the heck is the fake script , i just thought it would be something bungie would do.

Impossible, the Keyes blob was stuck on the Truth and Reconciliation. The Truth and Reconciliation never made it off Alpha Halo.

no, he means the big blob that killed keyes could be gravemind. That is possible.

Could Gravemind be an infected Forerunner? Possibly? Could Gravemind be Keyes? Hell no. Could the Keyes blob have been a primitive or a adolescent Gravemind form? Possibly.

older, much much MUCH older i'd say

Did you play Halo CE? Then you would know that it isn't cortana he is retreving, but his neural implants so that cortana can start the selfdestruction mode on PoA. How would cortana have ended up with Keyes?

No, Gravemind isn't Keyes, and Keyes isn't Gravemind. As said before, to teleport it takes alot of energy, to teleport something as big as Keyes was at the time he was punched in the brain, it would have taken alot and alot of energy, then to teleport to another ring light years away, humongous astronomical amounts of energy would be needed, also, in Halo 2, gravemind used IAC to get to high charity, why? Flood forms can't be teleported, alot of specualtion have led to that conclusion, and isn't the teleportation grip only running on the rings, making it impossible to e teleported far distances outside the ring?
