Subject: How much longer, Bungie?

Now, in the quantum moment before the closure, when all become one. One moment left. One point of space and time.

I know who you are.

You are Destiny.

It's evident at this point that Bungie is a breeding ground of sadistic intent. It's unfortunate that you won't be at E3 this year, but this is what you get off to right - the heartbreaking clench of disappointment and impatience? You're breaking tradition, and E3 2013 and/or VGA 2012 is another dark and endless void treachery and uncertainty.

So,

Soon?

kthx'

My guess is Bungie day, but that was my guess last year and we all remember how that went...

I think they will at least release a teaser trailer this year, hopefully Bungie Day. We do know about the One Of Seven contest, but that could only be for the lucky 7 people.

I don't see Bungie making a premier on Bungie day. Logically, of course, the Electronic Entertainment Expo would be the *ideal* place to disclose a project. Millions of people around the world flock and round-up for this expo alone. I hardly see the point of a Bungie day announcement considering that the audience isn't as large. Bungie could be going with the 'word-of-mouth' marketing strategy - but that seems a bit risky, IMO.

“Strange,” mused the Director, as they turned away, “strange to think that even in Our Ford’s day most games were played without more apparatus than a ball or two and a few sticks and perhaps a bit of netting. imagine the folly of allowing people to play elaborate games which do nothing whatever to increase consumption.”

Let's face it, anything they announce the gaming media are going to jump all over. It's potentially a shrewd move to wait until after E3, so there'll be less competition for headline space.

Or maybe they just aren't ready to announce what they've been up to. What I do know is that worrying about it is a great way of making it happen faster.

Very true.

We know that 'Destiny' will be released in 2013, presumably September-December time. Therefore, I predict an unveiling in the same period of this year, or early next year.

Bungie Day, PAX 12, VGA's... all good choices. I'd expect it to be sometime towards the end of this year.

He'd have instantly stopped and knelt down, one fist on the ground, hoping to be impervious to the officer's attacks. When this would have failed and he's in the back of the police car, he'd blame his predicament on his friends for not being team players.
Bungie's new game: Particle

E3 really isn't as major an event as it used to be. There are a other expos that would be a lot more beneficial for Bungie to do their unveiling at compared to E3, where it's more general public and less journalists.

It's quite possible that they just don't want their new announcement to be drowned in all the other announcements that are bound to be made at E3. I dunno, mayn.

How much longer? As long as it takes. That's my answer when anyone asks me that question. Bungie makes games to standard, not time. Often, the games are above standard.

Well, here we are. I guess that it was destined to come to this.

My imagining of a hypothetical Bungie booth at PAX? No lights, no noise, a sea of bean bag chairs and sound absorbing material. Some sort of digital guestbook.

The message? "We're dark at the moment, but we still love you, feel free to come and chill with friends that you know and ones that you haven't yet met. See you starside!"

David Jaffe: lolnope

David Jaffe: Twisted metal y'all!

Not saying Bungie would lie to us to make a surprise an actual surprise. But it's not not an option. Double negative, booyah.

Anyways, if not at E3, there is that 1 of 7 thing on Bungie day.

Hopefully we'll hear something on Bungie day. If not it'd be nice if it was revealed on Halo 3's fifth anniversary.

I think not going to E3 is actually better. Bungie is such a well-known company that they can pick any day to announce a trailer and get a ton of publicity. Instead of trying to compete with other game announcements at E3.
