I <3 you too Bungie

I was just browsing through the Spectrum Fantastic Art site and noticed that Valve sent some peeps to the recent event a couple weeks ago. Does anyone know whether Bungie visits/participates like this? I'm just curious because I'd like to see if/how they support their peeps, plus have an easier way to look into the talent and current non-bungie capabilities of Bungie people without creeping on Bungie employees via social media.

Basically, is there anything public-facing that Bungie does to support employees art or design skills, and if so what and where?

Edit: Title

I was sad to see you hadn't gotten any input on this. I, for one, have never heard of Bungie putting any art on display or participating in any sort of "art show" that you seem to be talking about.

Hopefully someone out there is more informed than I am, I'd love to see some public art from Bungie if there is some (besides their games of course).

Ha, yeah, I made this and fully expected to get no real response. It's not something that the community really pays attention to. I would just really love some direction pointing. I don't have time to e-stalk employees to see what they do on the side, but I'd be really interested. I'm more in the web world, so I don't really understand where and how these guys do stuff off the clock. The only reason I found that valve participation is because I knew a couple of the people presenting at that conference. Just got me curious.

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

I have the art of Halo 3 and the Art of Halo. They are both beautiful books.

But, I think it would be cool if Bungie eventually started to sell lithographs again. I would love to frame a piece of art from the games I <3 to play.

They've attended certain conventions like Emerald City comic-con (I think there was one quite recently). From the photos I've seen, they do have some of their personal artwork there. I'm not sure what other outlets there are other than personal websites.

Yeah, I kinda assume that doing stuff on the side can be dangerous when you're needing to stay tight-lipped. People would probably assume that your side-projects correlate. I've looked through The Art of Halo 3 before. Cool stuff.

I guess I'll just have to browse around a little and see if any employees by name have cool stuff up on personal sites or anything.

I can't believe the art of Halo 3 has gotten so expensive, from $30.00 to over $120.00+.

I would love to see more artbooks to put on my coffee table.

Art of Halo 3 is AMAZING. I got it for like $20, I believe.

I don't know what delights you've already discovered but here's some links: http://www.isaachannaford.com/ (check the right-hand side for more links), http://www.darrenbacon.com/, http://aerie.geofront.com (ok, it's old but still...). There's probably more but surely that's enough to keep your jaw at floor level for a while.

That was all amazing

Only $15.00 for one of his sketches? I would of bought one and framed it.

Been looking for The Art of Halo 3 for a reasonable price for a while - no dice. I have The Art of Building Worlds though, I love it.

The only things I find have either been uneventful or have a phone number included--and I'm not about to post a link of that. Love the link you put up of hannaford's stuff. That's the kind of thing I'm talking about. Comicon, Dragon Con, etc.

And Loraine...come on...

Edit: double double word.
