Roll the dice, try again.

The word, the meaning, it's all changed since Halo Reach has launched. We used this one word to totally disregard all argument within the forums and lead people into dismay. This one word was thrown around like a donkey with a wetsuit on, killing all argument in it's path.

Why do we choose to not accept others opinions? Why can't we move forward as a community and adapt with each other? Halo Reach has definitely took a turn for the worse, and now with Halo 4 ahead of us, are we going to be able to adapt to that different style? Are the better players always going to make these changes?

Thank you.

I enjoy Halo Reach and I'm sure I'll enjoy Halo 4. People just enjoy complaining.

I will admit however, all of the previous Halo games werr a little more difficult than Reach.

Halo 2 > Halo 3 > Halo 3 ODST > Halo Reach > Halo CE

Based on campaigns.

Because the mouthbreathers who make up so much of this community are driving the franchise into the -blam!-er. I want a properly made Halo game, they want an arcade game. No, I won't adapt with them. They can have their noobified children's game.

Halo Reach has definitely took a turn for the worse, and now with Halo 4 ahead of us, are we going to be able to adapt to that different style?

MW3's been out for 6 months or so? That's plenty of warm-up time.

Ohai, I'm Loscocco (pronounced Loss-cocoa). I'm a college student (computer science major), 3D animator, and long-time Halo player.

Adapt was once used as an incredibly generic, egocentric, and flawed argument by complete idiots, but is now used in an ironic way. The people that spouted "adapt" when Reach first came out started making complaints about how they didn't like TU settings and people started mocking them by telling them to adapt, because the shoe was on the other foot at that point.

Maybe. The best players now will still be the best players in the future, but Halo 4 is a CoD imitation. Who will adapt to that when they can just play the real thing?

And yet, people adapted to Reach, instead of just playing the real thing (Halo 3).

When your spirit is floatin' down the tunnel, toward the light, you know wot's behind the light? It's not god. It's me. And I'm gonna kick your --- soul all the way back down the tunnel, 'til you choke on your own ---'d up ribs. Now. Wake. The ----. Up!

If Halo 4 is a good game I will play that good game.
If Halo 4 is worse than Reach I will play the good game.
It's simple.

Fun fact: The people that were for changing Halo: Reach said 'adapt' dozens/hundreds times more than the actual people that said it. I don't even ever recall it being said in any frequency by the people those folks said said it.

Those who spewed "adapt" were the ignorant idiots who needed these changes to be able to play and chose not to listen to others.

We better players will never have a problem "adapting", adapting to either unnecessary and/or terrible mechanics doesn't make them any less unnecessary or terrible though.

Yeah, notice how when the TU came out, these same people were complaining about it, saying that Vanilla was better.

Much fun was had telling them to adapt.

It's like a Brony falling on the same argument every time...

It's easy, effective, and it doesn't put anything into question.

I don't like it.
