when mc stops and lowers his weapon in the top right of his visor (our top left) you see THREE "acknowledgement lights" -like the one the spartans used in the books - then mc gives a little nod.
shortly after, the phantom zooms by -veryclumsily- followed by THREE banshees one to mc's left one directly over his head and the other to his right..

my idea is the remaining spartans from the book are in the three banshees and are comunicating with mc. In the clumsily driven phantom is a band of marines and a pilot who isnt accustomed to driving the vehicle -that is why they arrive later than the other covies who are already there- and DONT attack the mc.

I am...whimsical today.

The lights are commonly recognised as the reflections of the lightning from the storm.
The Lights would be inside the MC's helmet anyway.

See here. If the Chief is made for complete stealth, then why would we be able to see FLASHING LIGHTS? Dont you think that would be bad in certain situations? I mean really? If i was in a shadow hovering over an Elite about to pounce on him and he saw my "ACNOWLAGEMENT" lights blink...Wouldnt that kinda give him my position?
