"Caputofish -- Are You Man Enough?"

For all of those who believe that they are grunts, elites or even jackals(wtf?).... research first.

YOU CAN NOT TELL IF THEY ARE SHORT!
There is nothing to proportionally size them to.
It is like taking a pic of the statue of liberty, in the pic it is 6 in. but in real life it is HUGE.
Do not base your thinking on something as inaccurate as size, because there is nothing to compare them to. Ground = Big Brutes = Small
In proportion to the ground, they are small, but there is nothing else "tangible" to compare it to.
They are most likely Brutes;
1) They are all brown (grunts are not brown), just with new armour and stuff
2) Bungie said there was going to be a revised "Brute" Shot. We do not know what kind, could even be those one handed ones.
3) The new weapons have a blade on it, as like the old Brute Shot.
4) Grunts don't use "brute" shots, brutes use "brute" shots.
5) Grunts cannot live w/o frontal masks on Earth, They breath pure methane. And these BRUTES have no frontal masks.
6) In the game, brutes sloutch over appearing smaller than they really are. Just like in Star Wars Episode III where general greivous slouches, once he stands up he is HUGE! SAME WITH A BRUTE!
7) Grunts have cones on their elbows, these BRUTES do not.
8) The proportions of their arms and legs are to big/long and fat to be grunts.
9) "Shadow cant show height. Only if I know time of day. Micheal Jordan could have a 3 foot shadow at 1o'clock" -- from Mr. Cool
10) THEY ARE MOST LIKELY BRUTES!
NOT GRUNTS!

So please, stop with all of the multi-postings on inadequate and incomplete information that you think the creatures are grunts. Your logic is flawed.

how many brutes did u see on earth in halo 2? none. im sure they would have to have a mask too and how do you know its a brute shot if bungie said they were going to change it? it could look totally different from the H2 brute shot, and they all looked different colors to me. sorry, not enough evidence for me to say theyre brutes/grunts or anything yet. could be something new

They could have came by the ship Master Chief was on, because this, as stated by Bungie, is about 1/3 the way into the game.
And we don't know if that screen is even on Earth, it could be ANYWHERE!
So your point is?

To me, it seems that their shoulders and their hips are too close to be called brutes. It could just be a new covenant species, like the brutes in Halo 2.

Yes and I said, what is not to say that the Brutes couldn't have came by the ship Master Chief was on, because this, as stated by Bungie, is about 1/3 the way into the game.

Could be, but most likely they are Brutes from all of the info I had already Stated. and, if you slouch (try it) your shoulders would be close to your hips, too.

some one mentioned that brutes were never seen on earth but if i can rmember the first ever footage of single player in halo 2 cleary had a brute drop down from one of the ships and jumped the warthog which buy the way was a mad insane gauss warthog that was alot stronger then the one we are fimiliar with.

That too, Thank You.

they could be grunts without any armor, like ones that would be used for building purposes or something. or it is an elite with a jetpack, just souped up.

Notice if you look at that pic, there bodies are too small to be brutes, and there not fat and muscular as a brute, and they had slightly longer skulls.

Did you not read my post on Proportions and Slouching?

NOOOOOOOOO! It appears that way because it is in the distance.
And Brutes and Grunts are now ENEMIES!
Why would they be that close?
