The new campaign looks promising but the multiplayer just seems to competitive for me. I like that people get rewarded for being good in game, but its just too much for me. i like to join a game and just have fun, not worry about my kd spread

I'm pretty sure I heard that there will be playlists where each player starts with the same loadout(s), and weapon spawns are like they traditionally are. So, I'd assume that there will either be ranked/hardcore playlists that have more traditional gameplay, or there will be classic playlists right from the get-go.

But no, I'm not nervous. I'm cautiously optimistic.

Frankly, we all said we wanted to customise our Firefight experience but when given those options... well, I can't find more than a dozen-or-so gametypes that don't say "1,000,000 CREDITS QUICK!" or some -blam!- like that.
It's a sad thing when the options turn out to be very limited.

For enemy spawns, there's no individual customization. You're basically choosing enemy roles with pre-defined weapons. And there's no Zealots. :( Instead, we get bs enemies: Heretic snipers, Heretic heavy

For hazards, there's no option to disable them individually.

And of course, there's no randomization other than spawning order and whether they just spawn or are dropped off by dropship.

I'd like to have mixed things up so it's not always the same thing (while I find this detestable in campaign, in firefight, it would encourage teamwork since you can't get the jump on the AI). Hazards, of course, are not mixing things up. They're thrown in there and nerfed so they don't become a big problem. Banshees should be actively pursuing but they're just there flying most of the time.

I remember in ODST, players could board Choppers and use them. The lack of vehicles in Reach other than hog and mongoose is disappointing.

Finally, Installation 04 hardly improved Firefight. The friendly AI share the same settings as the enemy AI and the initial ODSTs are easy prey.

No respawn time? respawn time was a major part of map control which forced players to actually think when they played?



correct me if i'm wrong, but isn't that only for regicide?


im not 100% sure, im just speculating off of what i have read/saw through released information. if it is just for a specific playlist, im fine with that. if its for all, i will have a problem.

im also worried about the other features such as another credit based rank system and customized loadouts. i would really like to see ranked and social playlists so there could at least be a somewhat competitive edge to this game. i know that a rank is just a number, but it is fun competing to get to the next rank. the added pressure makes the game more exciting as well as more fair in my eyes.
