A little bit of sausage, a little bit of hot sauce, a whole lot of awesome. Have a question? Ask me!

I'll agree with that. I'm not overly competitive but I certainly play too much to be casual. I think a split playlist would be nice...I like how Halo 3's playlist was.

a split playlist would be nice. especially if we got rid of some of the playlists so that certain playlists would stay populated

No matter what you say or do, 343 have no interest on what competitive players want. These new addictions for Halo 4 is literally 343's way of saying "Adapt or GTFO!".

The moderators over at Waypoint are the biggest abusers ever, the fact that they can ban whoever they like without repercussions shows the group 343 are catering too. Deep down, I'm a casual and even I despise bloom, AL, etc.

I give Halo 4 a chance, but hey, we both know how it's going to turn out, but the 343 milk drinkers are too blinded to even notice.

As a matter of fact, I got banned without a reason whatsoever.

Oh yeah, since somebody does not believe what YOU believe; that makes us vapid...
I cannot grasp that what you call "Something happened to nothing, and that nothing became something, and it was smaller than than a period."

If 343 has learned anything, then they will have competitive and casual playlists and stuff.

  • 05.30.2012 1:16 PM PDT

I'm new to competitive Halo and Halo itself (Reach being my first video game ever actually). Message me if you want to play;

Reach: MLG, Arena, Doubles, BTB and customs.
Halo 3: Ranked MM and customs.

Also I have every Halo title and all of its DLC on the Xbox 360.

Its nice to know there's a tiny fraction of people out there that realize you can't cater to one crowd and win.

Look at this?!?!?! Casuals, you don't get it. We're not asking for Halo 4 to become this competitive game that you can't handle, but we want it to be split even. Half playlists for us competitive players, and half for you casuals like it was in Halo 3. What don't you understand?

Bloom is a bad mechanic. AAs can be abused to be made a bad mechanic.

Look, all we want in Halo 4 is are Ranked Playlists that do not have these silly gimmicks like Perks, Upgrades, Loadouts. We just want playlists dedicated toward competitive players that have set BR/DMR starts, no perks, AAs that are placed on maps. What don't you understand damnit!

I would post this on Waypoint, but they IP banned me for telling a casual kid that Vanilla Reach is horrible and TU Reach is much, much better. I also called him some names, but lets not get into that.

Its to late, they aren't going to do -blam!- for the competitive side of things. I'm sticking with Halo 3 and when they shut it off then I guess its on to way better games than Call of Halo...

Halo: Reach is the beginning of a new age for gaming.
It proves that developers can get away with punishing their players instead of fixing their game....and yet the fanboys will still sing praises to them.

-blam!- all of you fanboys!

Try playing Counter Strike casually.

Doesn't work. You get booted by elitest -blam!-s.

So take those -blam!- words and shove them back up your ass where they belong.

Name one competitive game that can be enjoyed casually.

Halo is a casual game, and if you think otherwise, you're a -blam!- idiot.

1: Halo was made on a console. The majority of casual players are console players. The majority of Competitive gamers play on PC. Competitive FPS's typically revolve around Keyboard and mouse with absolutely no aim-assist. HALO HAS TONS OF AIM ASSIST!

2: Halo, revolves around casual mechanics. Such as Aim assist, overpowerd vehicles. Overpowered weapons. etc...etc.

3: Just about anyone can pick up Halo and play it. Even little children. It was the first FPS game in history to be so accessible to the masses that it single handedly propelled the XBox franchise to what it is today.

Do you honestly think if Halo was this competitive masterpeice that you're tryign to make it out to be that it would have grabbed as much attention that it did. HELL NO!

Casuals made Halo popular. Competitives made Halo stupid.

No really. Did you notice the downfall of Halo started with Halo 2. Because that's when "stat tracking" became more important than the actual game. And for what? So you can come on to a forum and talk down to someone who doesn't share the same K/D as you.

GO F.U.C.K YOURSELVES!

Since it's too hard for you to find an example. I'll give on to you.

Basketball. a competitive game than can be played casually.
But....when it's played casually, is it subject to the same rules as a true competitive version of the game? NO! Because you'd be stopping every 2 seconds for fouling, or breaking some other dumb rule. Oh and guess what. When you're playing basketball, you don't have an aim assist mechanic.

Yeah yeah, I've heard it before. It's need aims assist because of the thumbsticks.... NO IT DOESN'T! You're just a loser who thinks you're good and competitive. When in actuality, you're just a loser.

Games = Casual

You want competitive. Join the -blam!- army.
Go make something out of yourself in the real world.

I'd like to keep my games casual, thank you.

Let's start naming off all the greatest games in our history that basically defined the gaming industry

Mario = Casual
Metroid = Casual
Zelda = Casual
Dungeons and Dragons = Casual
Halo = Casual
Gears of War = Casual

Doesn't matter how the game is designed. You CAN play a casual game competitively. You know how I can say this? Because. IF you sit down and play a casual game and have the drive to WIN. Then you are playing that casual game competitively. You did this for Halo 1. So what's the problem now?

If I sit down to play Monopoly, and I want to win. Then I am playing Monopoly competitively. But monopoly is a dice game....huh?

You can play a casual game competitively, but you can't play a competitive game casually.

That is the correct version of your stupid quote..

Of course, casual games played competitively, derp.

Unless you mean to say Scrabble, Jenga, Battleship, Connect 4, Guess Who, Twister, and a myriad of other games used in tournaments were MEANT to be competitive from the get go.
