Halo: Reach is the beginning of a new age for gaming.
It proves that developers can get away with punishing their players instead of fixing their game....and yet the fanboys will still sing praises to them.
-blam!- all of you fanboys!
Try playing Counter Strike casually.
Doesn't work. You get booted by elitest -blam!-s.
So take those -blam!- words and shove them back up your ass where they belong.
Name one competitive game that can be enjoyed casually.
Halo is a casual game, and if you think otherwise, you're a -blam!- idiot.
1: Halo was made on a console. The majority of casual players are console players. The majority of Competitive gamers play on PC. Competitive FPS's typically revolve around Keyboard and mouse with absolutely no aim-assist. HALO HAS TONS OF AIM ASSIST!
2: Halo, revolves around casual mechanics. Such as Aim assist, overpowerd vehicles. Overpowered weapons. etc...etc.
3: Just about anyone can pick up Halo and play it. Even little children. It was the first FPS game in history to be so accessible to the masses that it single handedly propelled the XBox franchise to what it is today.
Do you honestly think if Halo was this competitive masterpeice that you're tryign to make it out to be that it would have grabbed as much attention that it did. HELL NO!
Casuals made Halo popular. Competitives made Halo stupid.
No really. Did you notice the downfall of Halo started with Halo 2. Because that's when "stat tracking" became more important than the actual game. And for what? So you can come on to a forum and talk down to someone who doesn't share the same K/D as you.
GO F.U.C.K YOURSELVES!
Since it's too hard for you to find an example. I'll give on to you.
Basketball. a competitive game than can be played casually.
But....when it's played casually, is it subject to the same rules as a true competitive version of the game? NO! Because you'd be stopping every 2 seconds for fouling, or breaking some other dumb rule. Oh and guess what. When you're playing basketball, you don't have an aim assist mechanic.
Yeah yeah, I've heard it before. It's need aims assist because of the thumbsticks.... NO IT DOESN'T! You're just a loser who thinks you're good and competitive. When in actuality, you're just a loser.
Games = Casual
You want competitive. Join the -blam!- army.
Go make something out of yourself in the real world.
I'd like to keep my games casual, thank you.
Let's start naming off all the greatest games in our history that basically defined the gaming industry
Mario = Casual
Metroid = Casual
Zelda = Casual
Dungeons and Dragons = Casual
Halo = Casual
Gears of War = Casual
Doesn't matter how the game is designed. You CAN play a casual game competitively. You know how I can say this? Because. IF you sit down and play a casual game and have the drive to WIN. Then you are playing that casual game competitively. You did this for Halo 1. So what's the problem now?
If I sit down to play Monopoly, and I want to win. Then I am playing Monopoly competitively. But monopoly is a dice game....huh?
You can play a casual game competitively, but you can't play a competitive game casually.
That is the correct version of your stupid quote..
