My heart is my team, My soul is Halo, My goal is Pro, and BUNGIE is my stepping stone.

Can anyone recall a time where playing Halo was a fun activity with your friends? I'm having difficulty remembering such times! I love Halo from the bottom of my heart, I do. As a matter of fact it has been my dream to work on a Halo game since it first came out in 2001. But now I'm concerned for the series I love so much.

Recently Halo has been rubbed in the dirt in my opinion. In Halo 1, 2, and 3 I felt like an awesome super soldier that could handle anything. Now whenever I put in Halo Reach it makes me want to cry seeing a "Spartan" that can barley throw a grenade 5 feet in front of him and with his "enhanced" legs barley getting him 3 feet off the ground! Basically the Spartan 3's are the Halo 2 pistol: weaker and a cheap knock off of the original.

And no I am not ripping on it because I suck. It just isn't Halo to me. What makes Halo? The story is the correct answer. They can't throw a group of Spartans in the middle of a war give them some lines and occasionally show their face and expect us to care about them. Don't get me wrong parts of the story really pulled me in. Like when Jorge sacrificed himself for the sake of the planet. I thought to myself "That's what a Spartan would do".

But that's not what upsets me the most. No not the story or the crappy Spartans. It's the gameplay, I'm sick of getting armor locked the crap out of. Or a jetpack NooB stealing all of the power weapons. And has anyone else noticed that Halo is getting disturbingly like Call of Duty? All of the equipment that is used by players is the same as the equipment in Call of Duty. Think I'm wrong? Look around. Active Camo=Scrambler, Armor lock=Blast sheild, Hologram=Decoy. From what I hear Halo 4 will be even more like Call of Duty. With sprint being integrated into the controls and with loadouts being like custom classes and Spartan ops is really just Spec ops. Whats next, aim down sights?! I fear our beloved series is going in the wrong direction (Gameplay wise, I won't have a comment about Halo 4's story until I play it. I'm at least that fair.) Halo doesn't need to be "like" any other game. Halo just needs to stay Halo, that's why we fell in love with it in the first place. I don't want a Halo similar to Crysis, or Ghost Recon, and certainly not Call of Duty! Does anyone agree with me?

Fun fact, Halo Reach movement is close to Halo CE movement.

Bingo.

The problem with Reach is that you have to work really hard to get what you want. And the obstacles are often bs instead of real ones.

Sure there's the enemies but there's also the allies. They suck, they take your kills making you waste ammo for nothing, they drive off with your vehicles, they betray you and you can't do anything about it or they'll just one shot you.

There's also gameplay elements, such as 10 second countdowns reinforcing still-existing invisible barriers. Exploration is basically killed in Reach.

Jorge was the only member of Noble Team who had decent range and didn't betray you by accident.

It's pretty evident that driving friendly AI should be killed off or should be severely limited like in H2. Giving them freedom and crap vehicles is just going to make working with them a chore.

It's only because of the increased fov that it would seem like that.

In CE, if I was being pursued by a Zealot, Hunter, berserking Elite, if I kept moving forward, they wouldn't be able to get the jump on me most of the time unless I stopped.

In CE, I could crouch jump onto a supply case/comm node without any problems other than the awkward crouch (which is more noticeable in Anniversary).

Where in Reach is all this?

You know, that's funny. I've never been betrayed by Noble Team. If I have, it was my fault. I've never had Kat run me over. I've never had Jun shoot me in the back.

Hell, I remember back in Halo 3, I give marine a rocket launcher and hop on a mongoose with them, and they accurately hit targets and didn't -blam!- up. Unlike how many people said they constantly do.

IIRC, in all halos you can outrun a hunter. As for elites. Reach they increased their movement(As I recall). Doesn't make a case that Reach jump and running is massively worse then others.

What difficulty did you play on in both instances?

So it's my fault if a civilian moves in front of me in the middle of a crisis and I get one shotted by Noble Team for pulling the trigger when I'm trying to hit the enemy? Though I haven't experienced this directly, in H3, there's been cases where I've headshotted marines without even trying because they kept running in front of me.

That's because he was in your mongoose. What about when you're on foot and a mongoose driver just happens to ram into you taking your shield?

In all Halos but CE. In H2, H3, and Reach, they're slowed down. In CE, you had to keep running, get the Hunter to melee, or get out of reach via jumping/vehicle to get away successfully. Otherwise, the Hunter would be right behind you, almost close enough to melee you.

They reduced the player movement speed because of Sprint. I don't see how this can be merely a rumor.

A: The civilian accidental kills auto kill you by means of the system, not Noble Team shooting you.

As for difficulty? Normal to Legendary. I've had far more friendly fire from other players then Noble Team/marines.
