bungie has already made it so Mods. can automatically lock "leak" threads. Can the mods. mabye start locking threads about family member dying and such. Most of everyone posting such threads in the flood are lying and just trying to get attention so in my opinion they should have the shizzit beaten out of them but i guess a locked thread or a blacklisting would be good enough

They probably will once they see it (referring to the thread in the Flood) because it's just like a personal blog.

You're talking about this thread, right? How do you know they are lying? It might have actually happened, although I think that particular thread is B.S. Plus, by posting that, the creator broke the "No personal stories" rule. And is it true that they have an automatic locking system for leaked info threads? Where did you hear that?

Sorry there is no autolock. Besides how would we lock it? Look for words like leaked or halo 3? Could you see the problem. One will simply not be included and the other would even lock legitimite threads.

I don't think he means autolock as in a version of The Soul to lock threads that have a particular content; but autolock as in having moderators automatically lock any threads that have anything to do with a particular subject no matter what the point is... or something.

To the case of threads like the creator is referring to, they are automatically locked as soon as a moderator sees them because they fall under the "The Flood is not a blog" rule. I feel bad for anybody that is actually trying to convey some personal story that has affected them in a negative way, but the forums of a video game developer is not the place for them.
