Subject: False AFK Ban

I was playing swat with my 7 yr old cousin and he wasn't getting any kills. Now I'm banned. How long is it for? I've heard 24hrs-2 weeks. I think I can handle the 24 hrs, but 2 weeks seems excessive considering I didn't do anything wrong. If it is 2 weeks, is there anyway to ask for a review of some sort?

Always up for REACH customs!

You are responsible for everyone who plays on your console and gamertag. You absolutely did do something wrong by 1) bringing a child into a Rated M game about shooting people in the head, and 2) repeatedly ruining the game experience of your teammates by sticking them with a partner who was unable to play the game.

If you want to play Halo with a little kid, go do Race custom games or something.

RIP Bungie Service Records. You shall be missed.

Posting here won't do any good.

Like the others say,

1) You are responsible,
2) Here can't help anymore,

Try the Halo Waypoint forum for an answer, the time should vary depending on previous bans if applicable.

You guys got everything right, except for saying it's wrong for him playing an M game. ESRB != legality/morality, if you care to stop being ignorant.

I started playing perfect dark in elementary school, I wouldn't be a Halo fan if that didn't get me into shooters.

Sorry bout your luck. Bungie seems to think that kill detection takes priority over "Spartan A moved from these co-ordinates to these ones over here, and then these ones". It's been known for a while the banhammer is flawed. Next time though, keep it in customs.

Rather, they know exactly that, and don't want people running to a hiding point, or taping their joysticks to constantly move. You know, exactly what people were doing to get free credits before the banhammer was updated.

Do they follow the same movement pattern each time they spawn?
Do they move to the exact same place, in the exact same direction relative to where they spawn? Do they still not get any kills?

If yes, ban. You just have to know what to look for.

Xbox Ambassador: Feel free to ask any questions you might have about a Xbox issue in a PM to me. I may be able to help!

It may not been you individually who caused it, but you're responsible for anyone who played on your Xbox account. I'm sure the system went lenient on you and gave you a 24-hour ban. (If this is your first ban.)

You have never heard of a macro have you. There are plenty of people with programmable controllers, even ones that allow for random movement. If they knew how to detect it 100%, they would. Bungie's code has some of the best security of any game made, so far the only people who have been able to hack it have done so through an exploit of the xbox itself rather than through game code, I trust their knowledge on this over your simple conjecture.

Halo is no more violent than your average Star Wars game. It shouldn't even be a M rated game. It has the same amount of violence and language as a T-rated game.
