A cool power up could be like a pwer up that lets take a quick "glimpse"of where your oponents are in some way

Either disapearing from your enemies radar or apearing as a friendly dot would be AWESOME I think that the EMP one, the "Friendly dot one", and maybe the "faster running" one (for CTF) are the best

I say to bring back the power ups from Halo CE.

Off topic: In the Halo CE booklet it has like a small covenant jewel as a power up but I think it was taken out of the game. Does anyone know what it was meant to be? PM me your answer. Thanks in advance.

I think additional power ups should be in Custom Games and not in ranked games. The reason for this is we don't want a super fast runner in CTF and people will just camp the power ups also. That wouldn't be such a good idea. But that's just me :o) But if you want to play a game with special abilities like that, play Unreal.

Maybe a human or covenant kind of bayonet that would be placed on your weapon, and could be used for a certain amount of hits until it broke off or ran out of charge.

I think optional power-ups in Multiplayer would be great. Any old schoolers out here know that the game can be fun and balanced with the inclusion of power-ups (Quake anyone: Quad Damage, Damage Resistance, Speed, Increasd Rate of Fire, Invincibility). The custom game opportunities would be endless. MM Playlists could be separated into with/without powerups if necessary.

Remember: Perfect balance does not ALWAYS equal perfect fun. It all depends what the purpose of your game is. In a competition, balance is crucial. But if you're just out to have a good time, seeing everyone run after the invincibilty power up, and then everyone run away from the receiver of said power up like Japanese citizens from Godzilla can be a hell of a good time.

in referance to the power-ups in quake you missed one. mega health, it adds the maximum amount of health to what you already have, so if you have 50, you get 150, and so on. Great post though. :)

Hologram Powerup
How bad ass would it be to pick up this power-up, and for a minute, have a little Hologram that follows you around so enemies don't know who to shoot at.

Maybe your Hologram could even fight along with you... though that would be like a Clone power-up.... also an interesting idea. If you kill the clone, he just dies. But if you kill the actual person, automatic Double Kill.

NO to each of them. Double speed was included in halo 1, but was never used, like the gravity gun. There's a reason for that. And why have a super invincibilty power up? The overshield, while unbalancing, at least leaves a little strategy in the game, and can be taken out. The use of a supershield would just increase the PP use, which I hope bungie fixes, as battles are not as fun with half second deaths.

Anti radar might be cool, but I just somehow don't think it fits in with halo.

Speed Boost
Drains shields to half to power double speed.

That's the only new power-up that would make sense.
