What would you guys think of battle triggered music in halo 3 multiplayer games? Such as if someone is on your radar the "mood" music would kick in and get harder and and harder as you approach and engage in battle. Even sitting there crouched and having someone on your radar not knowing you are there, is a perfect time to play the right "mood" tune. I believe it would add to the intense-ness of the game. What do you guys think.

no, it would alert you to the presense of the enemy... most of my friends are lured off guard by not looking at their radar, so when I turn it off, they still suck.

Ok..fair...but what if it were triggered by the fact that neither person is crouching and each person is on the other persons radar? I understand it would alert you but if you have any skill whatsoever in Halo, you look at the radar...its a cheat sheat.

I think that's a rediculous idea. What "music" will you have when you get sniped? Perhaps the mario-death song?

Or what about when you get assasinated?

It wouldn't work for multiplayer. Too many reasons why, so I'm not going to bother.

This is Halo, not The Legend of Zelda.

it'd be hard to work out....and it would sort of ruin the fun of getting insane assassinations......but maybe if it could be one of the options in multiplayer settings

See now your just getting retarded...i'm talking about Halo music...Marty music. The same type of music that gets you hype in campaign mode.

I can see what you mean. I love the Halo score as much as the next guy, but I personally think that it won't benefit the multiplayer experience in any way. The music added to the tension and drama of the Halo story. It made it all the more cinematic.

But multiplayer? You've got 4-16 players running around some 'god'-forsaken rock, blazing guns, spraying 'n praying, as well as trash-talking. Music would either distract the player, or would go amiss.

That would not be cool because i like to get people off guard.I also like to sneak up on people with the sword and shotty.

Wouldnt work simply because this is on Xbox360 and xbox360 allows you to play your own music over the top of any game. imagine listning to your own music and then some cheese balls crap cuts in? well not that halos music is cheese balls but it only suits halo if you know what i mean?

Hey....I see where you're coming from man but...naaa....don't think that would work too well.

That said, I think a more context specific and dynamic 'Halo mood music' would be utterly fantastic in the campaign. Don't get me wrong...I know the campaign already has great mood music from Marty....how could anyone ignore it....it's such a huge part of the atmosphere.

Yet what I'm talking about is the use of that music in total conjunction and synchrony with the pace YOU (the actual player) are working at. That is to say, you make a mad dash all guns blazing and the music lifts. You sneak around and scope enemies from a distance with your sniper and it changes again.

Anyway....
