Do you consider the plot for the game as an independent alternate reality or do you consider what others call it, a retcon to the universal plot?

I seem to recall hearing that Halo Reach isn't the story of what happened from Noble Team's perspective, but what was recorded through security footage, mission reports, eyewitness accounts, etc.

The campaign overall felt pretty boring, not as boring as Halo 3's, but still pretty boring.

Hi there! be sure to click that homepage link!

I...

consider it to be a little off from the canon...

It's canon. Whether it's the full 100% honest report of what happened, or if details are off.

It does however, with the extra letters given of Parangosky leaving the bulk of the military in the dark about the covenant presence, explain why in the book the UNSC put up a damn -blam!- ground fight for the UNSC's most fortified planet.

That's the conclusion I came up with as well.

Do not waste your tears, I was not born to watch the world grow dim. Life is not measured in years, but by the deeds of men.

We should know better, because we are better.

It was a retcon. May be incorrect due to hints that it is a reconstruction. But please, there is no need to open this can of worms again.

Yeah, so many people try to write Reach off as the worst Halo game when that title clearly belongs to Halo 3.

Campaign wise I agree, I'll take Reach's campaign over Halo 3's any day. Multiplayer wise, good god give me Halo 3.

I understand nothing because my life is a conspiracy.

I consider it pure canon. Bungie overrides book.
